For the first time the Professor was shown to lose his temper and take his frustration out on Komal mainly because he was unable to take any action at the Tachurs, and when he saw her well she is from that family. Of course it was wrong but it was not that unexpected he has been humiliated and has seen his daughter falsely accused so his reaction was expected unfortunately though he chose to speak when it made no difference.

Of course not Krishna needs to come back as soon as possible but no need for him to return when he is still confused and incapable of handling the situation, he should return out of his trance and ready to accept the reality of what took place with prats.

Adarsh likes Komal but he does not portray his feelings hopefully we will see his true feelings revealed once SS makes this announcement and our hopes of seeing a stronger adarsh may be fulfilled.

Binny,

In IBN7, Pooja Gor will say that Pratigya will be locked in her room and she will escape and go insearch of Krishna ..but the article paints a different picture ...wonder who is saying the truth ??

My point is not Komal saving Pratigya ...my point is Komal transforming overnight ..her mere presence will save Pratigya there is no need for her to turn positive for that ..but why has she turned positive, did she have a heart to heart with anybody ? NO !! ...did Adarsh shower her with love ?? No !!,,,have the family admitted her into inner sanctum ?? NO !!..Has Adarsh promised her that henceforth he will be Adarsh Pati ? NO !!...Has SS ordered her to be an ideal Bahu ?? NO !!
Have the Sax clan apologized to her for the earlier mistakes ?? NO !!...Then what brought about this transformation..??

Krishna has to come back when he has regained his spine, which has been broken by Pratigya's lies and SS taunts ...until then he will be pretty useless in tackling any crisis .....

Komal's changes of heart are rather mercurial, but then that is the way they have always shown her.

She was behaving like the perfect brat throughout the court trial, these are the reasons IMO,
- She had no idea why she was not brought home immediately, and what the big deal was about Prats problems
- She sensed some big secret. And was very hurt that she was excluded.
- Nianaji was behaving like a leaky tap. Komal has a real fondness for her and also used to being showered with her affection. I think she found it difficult to handle all that R&D and took the classic escapist route out by being the perfect bitch.

Now:
- She knows precisely what was afoot, and that it was big enough secret and that was why they were all behaving so weirdly. Like she said, she does not appreciate being left out but she understands the need for secrecy.
- She is relieved that the big crisis is over and things are back to normal. Except Guruji all of them have started behaving normally, with AArushi and daadi cribbing, Nainaji smiling, aadarsh being generally Khadoos. So I guess she is ready to be mollified. Plus Aadarsh has stopped avoiding her which is really a big thing for her, because whether that silly twerp deserves it or not, she has the biggest crush on her husband. 😃

😆😆😆. Thats so true. I've always had a problem with Adarsh as a husband, but never found the right adjective to describe him which wont offend the sensibilities of anyone. But a twerp he is!

I've always sympathised with Komal (love her fiestiness) especially with the indifference that Adarsh treats her and always blaming everyone else and never taking responsibilites for his own inability as a man and husband.

BTW, Tanthya, another lovely post. Enjoy your style especially the humour induced into the post😊.

Heehee! That Aadarsh makes one want to shake him up a bit, no? But the starched-up creature has been known to show emotion and guts on occasion, so we needn't despair quite yet, methinks! 😉😆

If it is a yes i actually want to shake that nutty porfessar Shamu and ask him what has Pratigya sacrificed till now:

She chose to marry Baba to seek revenge. She has always got away with what she wanted to do after marriage because she had a strong pillar in da form of her husband to support her. what sacrifices is he talking abt?

Pratigya may have her reasons to get married but, she did sarifice her entire life . A girl who is educated and is looking forward to do her masters degree and become a teacher- so dreams are not considered as sacrifice? more important, a well educated girl getting into a household that does not have an iota of education or respect for it and does not allow her to go out o fthe house without an escort or worse questions the need to go out at all - putting up with all tha tis that not sacrifice? even though her husband supports her where is a single book or newspaper for this educated girl to read and call it a day/ what sort of conversation is it tha tshe has with any of them? cooking/ is that conversation? marriage under pressure all because she is beautiful and the husband cannot converse with her(nithinji would have known how to be with her) apart from saying I love you all the time and not working in any way puts any girl in the toughest situation.

Yes Pratigya has sacrificed a lot -her life itself. There is nothing but to fall for her husband and allow life to go on. But her no always helps Krishna in understanding the kind of life he wanted to lead which he tells in the episode when he gets guru ma home to help him get his father to say yes to his marriage hope all remember this. Krishna wants change. But hte kind of change he wants requires a load of hard work from his sid eonly .Till then it is only sacrifice from Pratigya's side.

Pratigya sacrificed a dream, but Krishna sacrificed himself...he changed, he transformed , his whole personality underwent a transplant so much so that his own fmly taunted him saying JKG,sax ka naukar ,..placed on this scale..Pratigya sacrifice of a dream seems a small price when compared to his 180 change..

you say she sacrificed her dream , but she was going to marry another guy, what guarantee that he may have given the freedom to further her dreams [His mother seemed to be domineering type ]

Dreams can be replaced , new dreams can be chased, new goals can be achieved but personality once gone will never come back....In that context Krishna's sacrifice is much bigger than Pratigya's

As for not allowing her to go without an escort...I would say..recheck again ..., even the educated and liberal Sax did not allow their daughters or even their daughters friend Roli to go unescorted.. and why are Thakurs alone blamed if they refuse to let thier daughter's go unescorted ??

when has Pratigya ever showed an interest in reading books...all her time is spent in cleaning the dirty laundry of her home ..{ the only person I have seen with books is Aarushi, it is spread in front of her..whether she reads it or not is a moot point }

when Pratigya and Krishna talk..it is about issues like wife betrayal, studying, listening to another's view points, duty whereas if Nitinji and Pratigyaji were to talk...they would have ji'eed each other to death..

Krishna wants to change ..but so shud Pratigya ..Krishna needs a dose of idealism..Pratigya a massive influx of realism ...and these two will complement one another ...

Shake him...., I want to rattle him until all the bones in his body shakes and his brain becomes a dahi Jalebi .....

well, he has displayed a propensity for violence ... .. so far if he has any romantic bone ..he has buried it very deep ...and I have not seen him initiating any romantic interludes...sometimes I wish Komal will do what Angad couldn't do to Pratigya ...kidnap him and lock him up in a room and u Know...😳😉

according to me personality is not something a person can loose and never regain, in fact Krishna's change in personality have not changed the crux of his personalty he is still just as angry, possessive, and obsessive as before. Yes the way he thinks has gone through slight transformation but that is not a sacrifice from is side, but an acceptance of reality. Krishna cannot be forced to do anything as we already know same theory applies to this he was not forced to change his way of thinking on certain situation, but prats gave him valid points and justified reasons to look at things from her POV and he decided on his own that what she was saying made sense so no sacrifice there. And I'm not sure we can say 180 degree turn yet he has just begun to change the way he thinks and is still overcoming the teachings of SS and amma in order to think more independently on issues concerning his life.

Prats on the other hand has sacrificed her entire life even if we put aside her hopes and dreams but the reality is that her acceptance of Nitin portrayed her simplicity she wanted a normal life she had never wished or had high expectations. Krishna came in to her life and she was forced to marry a man whose thoughts were completely opposite from her own on every single issue. She married him in order to save her family from further humiliation and he supported her but what about his family she lives with people who are a disgrace to humanity.

Yes Krishna is taunted by SS for his changes but that is not a sacrifice SS is simply targeting his ego which is hurting Krishna, his behavioral change is no sacrifice because it has taken place for his betterment. Krishna's personality has not changed just his way of thinking has improved which has reflected through his actions.

And I agree they will help each other and bring about changes in each other which will help to improve their relationship. both are stubborn with a strong ego which only the other can deal with.

Oh! yes indeed Krishna's has been the greater transformation, the more poignant sacrifices but remember that they were all of his volition and for something he was determined to have at all costs. But Pratigya's sacrifice was coerced from her. Pratigya (up to this point) sacrificed without even a hope or desire for a better future. From her point of view she gave up everything for a life of misery and struggle without even the benefit of strong positive emotion driving her. She told herself that the emotion she felt was hate, that is why she felt so desolate and futile when even cause for hate was taken away from her, she felt like she had nothing to work with.
(As a matter of fact, other emotions had already replaced that hate by then or even earlier but she did not recognise it then.)

Binny,

Personality once changed cannot be reversed ...even if revisited..the accumulated changes will have an effect on your previous behavior ....he has subdued his anger and obsession has reduced..Possessiveness will always exist in a relationship..if he wanted, he could have chnaged this reality , no one would have helped her ..the change was voluntary , he willingly underwent changes ...changes which he need not have undergone [remember Pratigya did not have any allies then, and Sax were a pack of cowards while Thakurs are all powerful] ....
and when you are surrounded by brutality on all sides when you have grown up seeing this brutality ...having been brought up on the creed of being brutal mean being macho ..to overthrow all this in favor of being sissy really requires guts and Krishna showed it ...

Not only Krishna , even Pratigya has to overcome certain rigid principles of her own...and it is to their credit...both are attempting to cross the invisible boundaries and are trying to explore each other's world..

She did not accept Nitin...her convo with Roli reflects that ...and her fmly chicken like streaking across the field forced her to accede to Krishna's demand [ Krsihna had retreated, Pratigya went and asked him to get shagun .. a major error on her part ]..had her fmly gathered their wits and directly spoke to him and asked him point blank the WHY?? Q's ..Things would have been different...in a way her fmly's cowardly squawking hastened her decision or shall we say part of the blame must be laid at the doors of Sax too..

Krishna's ego is everything ...for his ego to be battered DIDO..is a big deal ...u say change has occurred for his betterment ...but in the jungle in which Krishna lives..such betterment leads to his killing..in a jungle one has to be a predator to survive..if a predator turns into a willing prey, he will killed within a blink of an eye and yet Krishna underwent this transformation willingly..

I still say Krishna's sacrfice was greater Than Pratigya's ........

Binny & Tanthya 🤗

I think both of you are syaing the same thing. One is seeing one side of the coin and the other the other side of the coin. Wish both of you could see both sides of the coin with the same passion to agree. 😃
