Its a case of complete overpowering obsession.....nothing else...I can't say this cld be love...as everyone was saying and I affirm too, that if at all he Loved, the first thing was to admit his lie in front of the family.
Hurting himself, is nothing but to get a sympathy from others and the person he claims to Love,so as to bring her back .But it wld be the same viscious circle, false promises, pretence & finally beat her up and force on her.He himself doesn't know What Love is?He feels by going against ur family,physically hurting himself or in an extreme case making an attempt to kill himself are ways to potray the love.For him,menial are expressions of respect ,affection, equality( thats too much to ask, for this Barbaric Khaandaan) which encompasses Love.
This kind of barbaric love wld scare away anyone,let alone Pratz.As its a SHOW we cld imagine some redemption of sort, which I really fail to know how it wld take place, that may bring KRIYA amicably.I need to say amicable, as thats the starting point of this relationship, which somehow has to turn into a Lovestory.
Otherwise, never ever trust such ppl, they are beyond redemption, and they need proper long treatment, and in the meantime you have to be strong enough to go through the process yourself,coz at times you might start questioning your sanity.And finally you might LOSE it completely and may start accepting and living the life the person wants you to lead.That wld be such a disaster.
I am sure none of us wld want to have a BF or Hubby like Sharukh in ANJAAM or DARR, or even in recent times like John in AETABAAR.
Its a big "NO" for such guys.No matter how hansome they are , how intelligent they are.
