"Rishta tod ke, mudh ke vaapis na aane ki khasiyat lekar paida hoti ho na tum log...baaqi kuch, kuch naya saabit nahin kiya...sirf itna saabit kiya ki Aurat ho"

The Officer is no Gentleman: So today we got the most definitive account yet of what we have been told in numerous interviews and articles--- that the ultimate sin according to Major Rudr Ranavat, is being a woman. Mamisa's betrayal of Paro makes sense to him now ...he expects nothing better from her, because she is a woman. And he expects nothing better from Paro than treason with her motherland, because again, she is a woman. Simplistic thinking much? You bet, for Major is a simplistic man. Not for him the nuances, the shades, the niceties, no sir...those notions are for wimps. Major Saab stands for his country, his mission, and understands little else. Unless it be something that his body be telling him...such as the urge for a certain kind of release. A case of complete body over mind, is our Major Sa. So other than the most basic, self-administered, first aid, he refuses to get any medical attention to his battle-wounds...and heads straight to Laila for a bit of afternoon action.

Aur tumne saabit kar diya ki tum BSD vaale ho...janwar ho, hatyaare ho, nirdayee ho, raakshas ho...
Ek vidhwa Paro ke liye, poora gaaon vidhwa ban jaata...

And the woman has steel: It appears that Paro has made good use of the long ride from Birpur to BSD headquarters through the scenic desert...she has been able to process the grand betrayal she was handed by Thakur Sa and Mami Sa. Atta girl!!⭐️⭐️ She is able to assign good, hearty, commonsensical reasons for their volte face...being the warm-hearted, considerate gal that she is, does not expect the entire village to endanger their life and limb by allowing the BSD in. Plus, it is Thakursa's indoctrination at work. Big time. And above all, our simplistic Major Sa has provided such outstanding displays of BSD brand valor, that she is left with no room for doubt. To her, he is nothing but an agent of destruction...he and his force have taken her all at two separate occasions now, and she is in no mood to bend to his bidding. Instead of breaking her spirit, the immense grief has lent some extra steel to her spine...⭐️

So both sides came to the table, if we can call it that, with their prejudices, and have walked away with those prejudices not just intact, but further cemented.

A word about the Machiavellian Thakur and heart-broken at Paro's fate Thakurain: there is little doubt now that the latter will indeed turn out to be Major Sa's long, lost-by-design Amma Sa. And that she will be the chink in Thakur Sa's armor that Rudr will use to get him.

The story is slowly, but surely, drawing us in...here's to it continuing to be the king!!😊

Lovely post Visi. The episode always makes more sense after reading you and Savvy's takes.
I kinda thought it was a let down after Friday's bumper episode. The interaction between Dude and Paro was great, keeping with the characterization. Both have preconceived notions about the other. And Paro spoke, finally. 👏Visi, your theory of Thakurain-sa being rudra's mom, could just be right. The cryptic dialogue between Barney-sa and her seem to suggest that their marriage has a backstory. But But But...
Based on Barney-sa's costume change, I am assuming it's a new day. Dude is getting weaker and weaker, and can hardly stand, let alone walk. But manages to ride his bike in style. But Chalata hai. 😕
In spite of all the weakness, he does have strength to handle Laila as well. I guess Chalata hai.
And Laila se😕ems to keep a fancy house in Birpur. vo bhi Chalata Hai.😕
Paro knows BSDwale are bad, Rakshas, Janwar and all that. Obviously then it is important that she doesn't cover herself with duppatta in front of them. Chalata hai.😕

Beautiful write up Visi! ⭐️
Shoomie GPS says we are leaving Bard street and heading towards Price way via Grisham Avenue if only they get off the 80's bandwagon!!!

P.S: about Thakurain Sa "Sapnon Ki Shehnai Beete Deeno Ko Pukare Dil Ke Dwaare" is right around the corner 😉

nice post, for a second i had visions of richard gere in that uniform 😳 good episode, so glad to see that steely spine and clever reasoning emerge, even though the face smushing was 👎🏼 i think i'm still waiting to see more layers in the officer, he was true to form but he cant be as simplistic as they portrayed today. but paro baisa is showing she's made of far more than what people expect of her, sanaya had me riveted! and and and, the machiavellian thakursa is still managing to be the most dynamic character on the show for me, such a good actor playing a fantastic villain totally adds to the story which for sure is king 😃

Wonderful post! 👏

Both the dialogues describe the characters with absolute clarity.

Rudra has a very simple solution to his cases when the accused is a woman. Being woman itself is the proof of a woman's treachery. As you rightly said "Not for him the nuances, the shades, the niceties, no sir...those notions are for wimps. "

For Paro, too, it was easy to brand Rudra with all that she has learnt throughout her life about the word 'BSD' .. nothing less than a Janwar, Hatyaare, Nirdoyee, Rakshas.. "To her, he is nothing but an agent of destruction...he and his force have taken her all at two separate occasions now, and she is in no mood to bend to his bidding. Instead of breaking her spirit, the immense grief has lent some extra steel to her spine."

And the prejudices are reinforced! God knows when those will be cleared ..
