Does KS really show Indian Lifestyle?

Some people say that nowadays Indian drama serials are beginning to show true indian lifestyle but is it true?

Do you seriously think every person in India can afford to make deals of over 500 Crore Rupees ? Do you Really believe women in India walk around in make-up wearing these expensive sarees the way Bani does? Hey, over 90 percent of India's population does not even have the money to afford the basic needs that one needs in life. What REALITY are we all seeing?

Yes, for those, who live in the European Union and USA, it is easy to copy their sarees or jewellary because they have the money. when they go back to India they're paying with Pounds or Euros. But this is only reality for a VERY few people, those who live outside India... not for those who live in India. The very few who can afford to live the way Mr Walia, Bani and other characters not just from Kasam se!

There are lots of actors showing business tycoons in nearly every serial and there are VERY few of those in India and with their increasing population there may be even less with time. With these dramas, you really cannot talk about reality. 😕

And also the stories which include sisters wanting to get married ot their brother in laws showing no feelings for their sister. Is it all true? Does this really happen? How low can people stoop just for some rich persons money?

In conclusion😆it would be nice to see some reality based serials on TV😳

ok hun firstly the clothes its not matter of affording its what they can wear.Its too hot to wear clothes like that but in serials they have to show that ...do you really want to see women with no make up and i dont know simple suits come on you can see that anytime 😆

Plus just saying what i interperted from ektas interviews 😆 she presents stuff from lower class in the way she knows plus how else would she make her serials differnent and glamourous sets and parties.Though after seeing vivah i think a simple concept and sets can work well 😳 😳 they do in betiyaan as well.

As for relationships i was telling someone people do have really bad morals at times even in india i will pm you last time i am stil getting over it .People do have affairs even with sister in laws/brother in laws the questions not of reality but if it should be shown on tv?

I think good and bad should be shown but balance but its been ages since ks shown any good positive storyline thats why i like betiyaan its soo good what its doing 👏

nins is right!!!😆and they dont throw so many parties and have sooo many pujas..neither do bahus wear sarees and long mangulsutras😆😆😆and then act like detectives..the doors unlike they show in serials are locked😆😆😆and the lights are not always on since india has bad electricity suppy😆😆there is not a scene in every party😆and neither do people cum who backbute about them on their faces coz no1 has the guts to do tnat to rich people they all flatter them..unlike they show bahus here are always watching serials😆😆

I absolutely agree with you...they are not portraying an accurate picture of indian society...not even near reality.
They are also not portraying accurate law, medicine, cultures (not all biharis are weirdos like the ones in Ektas show).

There is nothing accurate in her shows she takes her work in "fiction" very seriously. Her wild imagination is always coming up with outrageous concepts that contradict reality...She calls this creative! Most of us would call it comic...but hey Bechari nay school bhi nahi complete
kiya hai...so don't have such high expectatuions from her.

its a show and its fiction, so why are people looking for reality in it?

This is why I watch Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein on Star Plus. If you want to see an average, next-door, so relaistic show, watch that. The girls arn't glam, they live in a middle class padoss, and the stories relate to everyone (right now Zoya wants to be a film star and fails at her auditions - which Indian girl never dreamt of being a film star?)

I thought Kayamath would be a simple story, but NOOOO, Ekta when and glammed it up that it's more of a fairytale - not a love story people can relate to.

At least Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai was somewhat original...

dont know very much but they dont really go out with that much makeup and dress like a priencess to go look for the clue of murderer. basically ekta is just showing a up graded stuff so that her soaps looks good and she gets the high $$$$$. any ways when i was in india it was hard to buy those expensive cloths that bani wears in the shows. but now i am not sure. since i didnt go to india for like 5 yrs now. so i dont know what is being there.

reality is there that rich are getting more n more $$$$$$$$$$$4 and the poors / midleclass plp are at the same spot i don't understand that situation so.... any way bye
