How come anup agreed so readily?

My own interpretation is that after all that he has been through, he doesn't want to waste one single moment with his family - be it in getting angry with choti maa or ira or alok.

What do you guys feel? Any alternative analyses?

He never lived continuosly with the family nor had too much interaction with Shiv. But in Ira's case

Shiv was her life. She spent all these years raising him and thinking Shiv is her's. Now she knows

He is not her's. That is a much bigger shock than Anoop's who is gaining a son which Ira is

Losing. In Ira's case it is the emptiness one feels after a loss in addition to being played up.

I understand the losing/gaining aspect of it between anup and ira ... but I wasn't really talking about shiv per se... I meant wouldn't he be upset with choti mom for betraying him and betraying his confidence no matter how noble the cause and no matter whatever he is gaining??

Every person does not react in same manner...Anup choose to look at the positive side of the situation n Ira had instantly picked out the negative part (not that i blame her)

Ira play a mother's role so she would be little more hurt about the truth

Anup plays a father's role...they are little less emotional in such kind of stuff

Ira had a fear of losing Shiv due to the truth or maybe things will change b/w them and Shiv may get distanced from her knowing she is not his birth mother

Anup gained Shiv...Shiv automaitcally came more close to him than he would have in normal circumstances

There is a golden saying that "there can not be too much truth in a relationship" much contrary to the

In other ways.

to be the man that fathered a son like Shiv is a matter of pride for any parent . and all Anup wants to do is bask in the pride of his son. to be the parent and father in law of people like Shiv Anandi. two people who's thinking and deeds are so progressive. that they have the guts and strength to do things that other people dont even dream of. Shiv and Anandi are inspirations to the society, and which man would want to waist his time in anger and confrontations. when he can proudly accept the fact that shiv is his son. and a man he can be tremendously proud of.

Anup was upset that meenu did this fact from him. but one look at Shiv's smiling radiant face, dissolved every negative feeling, and infused his heard with such joy and pride, that all Anup wanted to do was hold his son. and be a part of his joy and share his own joy for having shiv for a son with everyone else.

May not look too big as in the case of Ira. He did feel bad but regrouped him self very quickly.

After all he gained something big and he knows what every minute of life means,being in the army.

So this might have seemed like a very small omission from Meenu. This is what is expected of him.

It will be totally stupid if he reacted like Ira ,given all the tough experience. not that Ira was brainless.

In ira's case her life was her children and family. There is nothing else that she can call as her's

Anup's reaction was indeed funny. He didnt even ask Meenu why she did it... 😕

Probably he understood his wife's actions and may be he too would have done the same had he been around.

From what they hav shown of him he seemed like an emotional person but at the same time quite practical too.The way he handled the hostage situation in the hospital did tell a lot about him.His insticts at that time tol him to run away but he stayed back and did all that he could to diffuse the situation.

Even now when he got to know that Shiv was his son but when his own son called him CP instead of burying himself in grief for never knowing about his son he chose to revel in the joy over his status as dada.

He seems to be very conservative but a positive person at this this moment
