star track Proper sleep keeps TV actor Sanaya Irani healthy and cheerful through the day
For television actor Sanaya Irani, fitness is not about proper exercising and keeping a check on one's diet always.
For her, it's about having a body mechanism which doesn't let you gain those extra kilograms easily.
Asked about her fitness, she says: "Fitness doesn't mean anything much to me. I am not a fit person as such; it's just that I am thin. I believe I am genetically blessed to have a body like I do."
While many of us are keen to have a healthy body and a perfect figure by controlling our diet, for Sanaya, it is not so. "I eat according to my wish, and just never gain weight.
Maybe, that's how my body's mechanism is. In fact, I tend to lose weight, so I sometimes need to eat good, nutritious food, to maintain my weight."
Having featured in television soaps like Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Chhan Chhan , the actress does not follow any workout regime, or diet plan to keep a check on her fitness. "I hardly exercise, or for that matter avoid eating anything high on calories. I eat whatever I feel like, and don't put on weight, because my body's tendency is towards losing weight and not towards gaining it."
Health has varied dimensions and for Sanaya sleep is the most important. "I personally feel sleep is very vital for good health. When I am able to have a proper sleep at night, I wake up very fresh in the morning and am on my toes, for whatever tasks I need to accomplish during the day. I actually vouch for sleep and love sleeping. A good nap at anytime of the day, revitalises me and helps me cope with things better. Also, when I get a proper sleep, I am in good spirits throughout the next day."
