The only solution is to introduce discipline in this industry .The way to go is to work in seasons . The Channel and the PH should be ready with complete pre-production work ..the most important being the requirement for a bound script.
The actors and the techies should be selected for the entire season with a proper contract to deliver as per the script provided.
There should be proper work conditions with proper working hours.

If these precautions are taken the situation will improve drastically and this is the only change the audience is looking for .

Right now no one with any sense wants to watch these soaps that alter the story line with a sneeze ! Actors are bound to have creative differences with CH /PH if there are ad hoc alterations and it is unfair to hold them to a rigid contract and keep chopping and changing the script to suit themselves . Often the change is because of monetary reasons . Having milked an actor to gain popularity initially as he has the fan following to bring in the viewers, Channels play dirty, defame the actor, evict him and bring in a replacement at a lower cost to themselves .

The dice is heavily loaded in favour of the Channels who behave worse than dictators and treat highly acclaimed actors like bonded labour . An actor of Mohnish Bahl's stature can walk away with his head held high and stay away but the younger ones suffer as these spokes hamper their fledgling careers .

Something will give and the tide is about to turn! This is Neo India and the youth know their rights armed as they are with awareness of social media .

Television actors should unite to form a guild and stand by each other.They should refuse to replace a colleague unless it is for a very good reason. I am sure all will be aware of the truth however much a channel may plant an unfair story . The replacement runs a high risk of destroying his own career as at the end of the day the remote lies in the hands of the audience !

The proof lies in your own story :

YOU said KSBKBT was the longest running serial .They tried to replace Smriti who was the backbone of the show but had to retreat and call her back as the viewers did not accept anyone instead of her .

There are those who can be replaced and those who can not . Wisdom lies in knowing the calibre of your actors. In Karan Singh Grove'rs case there is no question of replacing him . Koi Shaque ?

I agree. Indian TV should wake up to the concept of seasons. And if an actor is quitting, the story should show it in a logical fashion and not cause a sudden disruption.
