hey, im having a few issues with recent films

we got sum films n like the whole family were gettin ready to watch n man there were sum awkward moments n disappointemnts..

first we put on krrish..ye i no huuuge blockbuster but after like watchin the first 1/2hr we were sooooo bored..i mean the whole magic power, funky action move thing was kl for the kids but just didnt do it for the grown-ups..n the quirky hrithik roshan thing wasnt that appealing...but i mite give this film another go-mayb it gets better..does it?

k then we changed to salaam-e-ishq...as soon as we put the dvd in...john + vidya = awkard viewing -mayb if it was like friends or watever it wd b fun 2 watch this film but after finding out that there was an affair n a couple whos sole mission was sleep together..thought better quit while where ahead n go to next film...

in the end we settled for baabul (it was this or dhoom 2 - kiss scene-so it was a no no -although i watched this film on my own n thought it was gd). Neway Baabul- bit depressing but nice (still had the song with the whole wrapped in bed sheet look, again akward)...

Out of the batch i also watched vivah, don n i see u..i liked these films alot but...i have yet to watch eklavya n honeymoon travels-which so happens to have a gay story, which i have nothing against but again awkward when it cums to family viewing...

my point even though there r sum gd filmd out, theres like no fun family films around at the mo..i mean films like mein hoon na n k3g where everyone enjoys it n u can have a gd laugh and cry...n if there is can does any1 have any recommandations (n if there are any 1s yet 2 be released which r worth watching). Also, ye its a gd thing bollywood is opening up to sex n all (personally i think the kiss in dhoom 2 isnt such a big deal) that but like now its just going ott, i swear everyfilm has a dumb wrapped in a bed sheet look or actually showing it (i mean kabhie alvida na kehna, they mite as well have just showed it), or a random dance number where there girls r like sem- naked, or over emphasize it sum way or another...

i no i sound like a granny lol

has any else felt any awkward moments while watching movie with family?

lol ya sometimes I feel akward wathching movies with girls wearing short clothes or bikins, or when theres bold scenes...but usually i was those type of movie with my sis, and make sure then when ever we watch a movie with a family it has to be a family oriented movie

But I was sooo surprised when I went to go see D2...i mean i didnt think at all that this was a type of movie that a whole family would come watch...but there was a lot of old ppl who came to watch the movie...the ppl sitting in front of my row..was a grandma, grandpa, their son and duagter-in-law and their grandchildren...and they all liked the movie...

So i guess its mostly not really aobut if the film is meant for the family or not...it depends on ur point of view...if ur old and still modern then u wont have a problem watching a movie like D2 or Honeymoon with the family...but unforunatly my family isnt like that...so i have to be careful about which movie i pick to sit and watch with the family

if you think you can keep kids and youth from these scenes, you are kidding yourself...

adverts run all day on tv, the boldest scenes are in songs...

and if ya tell them not to watch that particular movie, then by hook or by crook they will, so its better to pre-watch and see if its ok (Dhoom forms part of the ok dept despite the kiss - the kiss was of love not lust) ...

It maybe awkward but no information at all is the worst one of all...

Kids/teens are too knowledgeable these days...

And getting the

info or movies from friends and watching behind ur back is worse...

And yes Indian cinema is changing or undergoing a phase...People say it is turning western

I think it might be worse than western cinema...

Because what they show is to tease... these music videos have gone past sexy but rather soft po*n...

its very sad....

Just dont kid yourself that you are keeping kids/teens especially teens away from that...
