Sakshi got to see today how Sharada is treated by her husband and daughter. Latika is just doing it as thats what her dad trained her . She has been taught to be a working educated strong women different than her mom. Hence she gets annoyed with her mom as Mr Modi demands a lot from her . However she also realizes she is her mom and hence tries to tell her the best is for her to stay out of business matters. That way she will not have to be worried about her dad and the frustration from that will not be shown on Sharada. She knew Sakshi had caught on to this behavior and hence tried to make her see her POV. As always its was Sharada that stepped in to help Sakshi understand the standpoint..

I think to a point, all 3 kids of Sharada's as well as her husband see her as incompetent, just because she isn't educated. Yeah, Sharada can't read and write, but in the end, I feel like Sharada can become a bigger businesswoman then everyone combined.

Here all the family members starting right from Dadi to Chirag take Sharda for granted except Karan. After all he married Sakshi for his mother but still as a dutiful son he has a long way to go.
Latika has a huge superiority complex n is extremely rude. Don't know why n how she agreed to marry her non-classy husband( may be they will show later) but I liked her when she told her father that it was her mom who had done the 'patola' work on the saree n that arrogant man taunted his wife on that too😡😡.
It's true since Mr. Modi never showed any respect for his wife, his children never learnt to respect n value their mother as well.

Very interesting discussion. I could not agree more, the children of the Modis are all spoilt and learn their cues from their arrogant father. Ultimately, the mother cannot simply be a push over and cover her children's mistakes, rudeness...forever. Shame on such children. I want to see Sharada become incredibly successful and show her children, husband, and mother in law that she is not a door mat, but has skills, knowledge, grace, dignity, and is strong as well.

I'd like to see that happen. Saakshi helps Sharada take her passion and turn it into her profession, and then it can be one of the reasons for Sharada earning respect from her family members.

Karan, yes, he loves his mom and can do anything for her, but yet, somewhere deep in his mind, she is the easiest target to fool and get his way with.

Latika, she is...I don't know. She understands her mom, but to her, making her father happy is her number one priority. I feel like the only reason that she thinks this way about her mom is because she is the eldest child and hence, her father did everything in his willpower to show her that Sharada, despite being her mother is not good enough.

I personally want there to be a time, when Latika's husband gets tired of being pushed around and leaves her. And it is then that she realizes, that being a powerful businesswoman is not everything if she doesn't have her family by her side.

This is always been a timeless debate is it street smarts or whether book smarts are the ones to be successful .

Mr Modi has established himself in the position based on what the industry wants by learning about them while Sharada does what she is passionate about and hence that comes across to the buyers.

Karan really cares for her genuinely that if the circumstances had been different he would not have fooled her. Its a matter of his life that is getting tangled and his aim is to just untangle it. If he really did not care about her he would have untangled it long before the wedding. He is ready to take the taunt from his father but he cannot see his mother bear the brunt.

I agree it might take something drastic as Latika's husband to push her to get her to understand that she might be right from her father's pov but that is not the only pov. Along being an independent woman like her father wishes she also needs to be a good wife and mother like Sharada.

I don;t think she sees her as a threat. I think she knows that Sakshi is someone who is being learned is able to understand things without it being spelt out.

And from that point of view may not understand why she is behaving like that. She has an upbringing where she has seen her mother been taunted and hence not ot be in the same shoes she has become a strong and independent women. Its that she wants to clarify

I know its odd she married this guy. Maybe it was an another business deal rather than a rishta .

The kids still understand the mom its Mr Modi who treats her like dirt. The kids have grown up seeing that and no one is there to stop them. Mr Modi has never appreciated Sharada and hence the kids do the exact same thing.

Karan is not acting like a grown up and I find it interesting to see our tv shows portraying such men who are not "man" enough to be honest with themselves or their families.

To do something bad is wrong but also the person tolerating it is not that much better. Sharada should have stepped up and if not with her husband she should have been strong with her kids.

It was up to her to make them understand after all Mr Modi is a busy business man. If instead of covering up their mistakes and defending their actions she should have corrected them . So I don;t blame the children totally. Sharada too has the piece of the blame.

Agreed @oodlesdoodles the mother is at fault too. But it is surely difficult to be assertive with a dominating husband. When a woman is insulted constantly by her husband, it is not easy to build up her own self confidence and learn to be assertive.
