Actor Suniel Shetty has reacted with excitement after reports suggested that Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal may reunite for the upcoming film Welcome 4. The development has generated strong interest among fans of the popular comedy franchise. The possibility of the original trio returning to the series has triggered discussions across social media.

Taking to his official X account on Sunday, Suniel Shetty shared his reaction to the reports. Expressing enthusiasm about the return of the familiar characters, he wrote, “In times of chaos, some news just feels… right. The OG madness - Nana, Anil & Paresh - the heartbeat of the Welcome universe are back. And no one does madness with that much brilliance. So happy to see the boys back where they belong. #Welcome4.”

Soon after the actor posted the message, several fans reacted in the comments section. Many users welcomed the idea of the three actors appearing together again in the franchise. At the same time, some fans also raised questions about whether Akshay Kumar, who played the lead role in the original film, would return in the upcoming instalment.

Earlier in the day, a report by Mid Day quoted sources claiming that producer Firoz Nadiadwala and his team of writers are currently working on the script for Welcome 4. According to the report, the upcoming film is being developed with a fresh storyline while still retaining key characters that audiences associate with the franchise.

The source also stated that Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal are expected to play important roles in the narrative. “The scripting of Welcome 4 is being done in such a way that these three characters will be woven organically into the plot. The story will be completely different,” the source said.

Another detail mentioned in the report suggested that the film could feature multiple comic gangsters known more for humour than crime. “Welcome 4 will have more than one lovable don who are more known for their comic capers and timing than their underworld deeds,” the source added.

Released in 2007, Welcome was directed by Anees Bazmee and starred Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. The film later received a sequel, Welcome Back, which released in 2015.
