Guys I know all are waiting here with their jutis and chappals for me because of the way am getting invisible these days... but am really sorry. Life just got a bit hectic and I don't have much time with myself, and neither have I got time to come online much.

Am sorry to all for not replying to your comments and messages, just didn't got time to go through them even. I will try to be regular soon, but just give me some time please.

Part 20

He was sitting in tears, praying for her well-being... his eyes red from all the crying he was doing since last five hours, his lips in continuous murmur as he prayed, his condition looked of a man defeated... he was busy praying when his eyes fell on the green light of operation theater that turned red.

He immediately jerked on his foot, as he ran to the door praying for it to open soon so that he could see her once but his eyes just fell on a blue curtain that was partitioning her from him. He looked at the doctor who came out and tried to form words but they failed to come out!!! It all just looked so difficult to even ask how the operation was. his past his present was everything taking a toll on him that moment.

Doctor looked at his haphazard condition and kept a consoling palm on his shoulder!!! Operation completed without many problems, but for exact details, we need to wait for next 24 hours!!! If she gets conscious by then, its great otherwise we need to think again!!! Maan looked shocked at the stressed face of doctor and he knew situation isn't as simple as they are trying to portray it.

He took a deep breath as he said; "doctor please say me the truth!!!" he looked in the eye of the old man to make him clear how serious he was about it. Doctor nodded and said, "mr khurana as you have said she had lost her memory two months back, this complicates the case itself. We had tried to be as careful as we can, but the risk was really high as she had another head injury just two months back. Is she gets conscious in 24 hours, I think she will be out of danger, abi to..."

"her life is in danger" he whispered as tears again filled his eyes. His body was numbed with all this that is happening in his life now... these feelings, emotions had just crippled him. Love and happiness are not made for him it seems, it was so difficult to open this heart to someone again, to live and laugh again!!! How can god be this brutal to him???

He knew he was just thinking about him only but then doesn't he has the right too!!! Whoever he tries to love leaves him, let it be his mother, his lady love, his daughter and now geet!!!! Can't he crave for a woman's love in his life let It be in any form!!! So what he is a man, cant he be weak?? Cant he be dependent on someone!!!

Why this god snatches everyone I love, I wont let it be this time, he swore... he may prefer dyeing, but living without geet wont be a option this time. That life of hell, the life of loneliness wont be his destiny... he wont let it happen so what if he had to stop his own breathes.

He was so much into himself that he didn't even realized that a person came and sat next to him. He felt a soft hand on his shoulder and the touch immediately made him to look up. There she sat!!! the only woman who was his support in his whole life, who was with him in all his good and bad times, who had proved to be the pillar of support till date.

He immediately hugged her tight, keeping his head on her chest as he sobbed... "daadi!!" he cried like a child who saw a scary dream and cried to his mother about it. Dadi just hugged him back consoling, still confused with his breakdown. It had been three years since he cried like this, he never cried after their deaths, ok not infront of her, though she knew he cried himself to sleep till date!!!

But seeing him like this is just a shocker, what happened to him in all these days is still a suspense, he neither told her anything about this geet nor that she lives with him in the mansion and in the same room now!!! Ok she doesn't approve all that, but she was here because nakul called her in morning to be back by the next flight as maan is in hospital with some geet who lives with them now.

"dadi please kuch karo na!!! save her dadi warna mai mar jaunga" he said in his broken voice as his tears soaked her dress... his voice was so painful that it brought tears to the tired eyes of the old woman... she could sense the things that were going on behind her back, she knew him well enough to know that what are the tears for!!! What feelings does it represent!!!

She sighed as she herself wished for the safety of the girl who had gotten so close to her son, that his life depends on her now... she doesn't care who this care was, how she was... is she even perfect for her son... what mattered was he has something for her and she could give away her everything for getting his happiness back.

She calmed him down, tried to make him speak but he was just so closed up, he didn't even spoke a word except to save her. She even talked to doctor about the girl, but they also didn't said much. A whole day she sat next to him, he neither spoke, neither cried again, just kept looking at the door where she was, he wasn't allowed to meet her, not even for once until she shows some signs. He pleaded but no they didn't even listen. Dadi tried to make him talk but it was in vain.

It was evening when doctor went to take a check up on geet, and that's when maan and dadi were allowed to take a look at her. Dadi looked at geet in shock; her eyes actually looked at if they will get out of the sockets. "geetakshi!!!" she whispered as she went closer to have a clear look of her bruised face.

She gasped as the realization dawned and then gaped at maan who was looking at her confused. "maan geetakshi hai ye, gayatri ki granddaughter... geetakshi!!!" she said trying to make him understand but his mind was just all too blocked to understand anything. "maan hum Mumbai gayatri ki granddaughter ko dhhundne gye the na, who was missing since last three months... she is the one... geetakshi!!!"

Maan just looked at her confused.. geetakshi!!! "Nhi ye to geet hai meri geet, koi geetakshi nhi h ye" he said like a man possessed, with his eyes fixed on her while his hand just craving to hold her close to him. "nhi maan bte yhi geetakshi hai, mai abhi police ko inform karti hu" saying so dadima just left while maan stood rooted on his place not knowing what to say.

His mind still not comprehending anything what dadima was saying, all that mattered was 24 hours were passing fast and geet hadn't reflected a single sign of consciousness. Doctors checked her while he stood beside them, his heart really heavy waiting for the time to pass so that he could hear atleast something good about her. Doctor just gave him a grim look after the checkup and he knew they are still not sure about future.

He took a deep breath and again went and sat on the chair that was outside the room, waiting for this thick mess of time to pass. Soon dadima came and said, "I had called gayatri, wo to khushi se pagal hi ho gyi... kal morning tak she will be here with the earliest flight she can catch up" maan just ignored all this, he wasn't understanding anything that was happening, all this gayatri-geetakshi thing as just a crap for him, it was his geet that held importance now.

Around 2 am it was when he heard some moaning from inside the room. His senses immediately reacted as he got up and peeked inside to see her moaning in pain. She reacted, she is safe was the only thought that occurred to him as he made his way to call for doctor.
