**I have not written this poem. The credit for this poem belongs wholly and solely to my mother!

The gates of memory never close,

How we miss you no one knows.

We wish today as we have wished before

That God could have spared you for many years more;

To some you may be forgotten,

To others part of the past,

But to us, your memory will live forever,

As long as our lives shall last!

Kudos to your mom for expressing so much with but a few lines.

Loved ones who leave us and go away are never really gone. They always exist on the pages of our memory, always waiting at the corner of your mind, just waiting for us to pick up and examine them.

I miss her so much and I know exactly, what your mother means. 😊
