I liked the quite communication and connect that Rudra and Paro already seem to have, not a word exchanged yet, but there is a connect. Of the course the whole carrying her to safety was beautifully shot and executed, physics and biology notwithstanding, but chemistry was there! 😳

Another thing that intrigued me was the relationship of Thakur and his wife. She is not subservient to him,and she also seems to believe in Thakur's ideology and is supportive. When Thakursa crosses his line, with a glance or a touch she restrains him. Her last shot was about her concern about a new BSD officer in town, so what role does she play in this whole set up and how much does she know? Also curious about overwhelming affection towards Paro.

Really liked the mamisa and Paro scene, very touching and poignant, and Paro's nightmare will start after adorning her mom's bridal dress, any symbolism there? Let's see...

This episode further gave insight into Rudra and his father's relationship, liked the screenplay here, this time it's Rudra asking his father to forget and move on and a husband who cannot forgive and a father who will not let his son forget. Liked how it was the exact same scene only 15 years later and the tables have turned. It also gives an indication that Rudra is bitter and hurting but there is a desire to heal and move on somewhere.

All in all a good first week and the team has truly delivered. Hoping the writers and creatives keep up the pace. The marriage scenes have been shot lavishly, and I am looking forward to couple more Rudra and Paro encounters before tragedy strikes.

Diya, thank you for your takes, they always add so much more to the viewing experience.

U, lovely take ... and thank you! 😳

Not a word exchanged yet between Paro and Rudra ... yet there already seems to be a connect. These two actors are good, they emote with their eyes .. they had a silent conversation through their eyes only - his sudden tension at the news of her wedding, her tension at his reaction. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul ... so was it their souls connecting, while the tongues stayed silent? I hope we have more silent Rudra Paro scenes ... they hold a lot of promise!

The thakur and his wife ... there seem to be undercurrents there for sure. On the surface they seem to be a normal happy couple ... sharing their concerns about the new BSD officer in town, she restraining him with a touch ... very wifely! 😛 And I'm also wondering about ehr bond with Paro ... the thakurain, who is almost a queen to the village, was combing Paro's hair and worrying about her wounds?! More like a mother or fond aunt ... waiting to know more about their bond too, it has intrigued me.

Rudra and his father ... an interesting bond ... shared bitterness, shared sense of abandonment, neither has forgotten .. does Rudra truly want to forget and move on, and is it only his father holding him back? I'm looking forward to more on this ... a complex relationship here.

The new promo is obviously a promo for the entire week, not just for Monday ... or maybe for the next couple of weeks, depending on how long they stretch out the wedding. Am looking forward to it ... can't wait!

So agree about the depth to be given to the character. We don't want the amnesia that Khushi's writers developed after the initial months. Although there is slight nervousness that the chemistry factor might take precedence over the story as happened with IPK. It would be total short-sightedness if that happened.
For now, as you said the two stories seem to be moving in parallel, so hoping it would be so.
I saw the SBB segment - does it not seem that they are unmasking Tejawat really quickly? From a hint of greyness on the second day, they have gone totally black on the 6th day with him trying to get rid of Bindi? Plus if Paro is being suspected of being hand in glove with him then it means unmasking before Paro too. Or is this for viewers only and villagers will not know for a long time? Or maybe because the outdoor shoot has to wrap up they are finishing Tejawat's role.
Sorry, I am being a wet blanket here perhaps, but I always suspect that creatives of most TV shows easily give up ownership of the story and what results is lazy writing. Very much hope I am wrong especially if they claim they have penned 200 episodes. Anyway that is pessimist and guarded me.
Wanted to mention about Sanaya's voice modulation which I know you enjoy too - I particularly liked the scene with the camel - just a few moments and the accent not totally there, but there was a soft, quiet concern in her voice and in her expression that I liked.

I share your concerns especially about Paro's character. About Tejawat, I am less worried .. he is an important character, and he will be around for some time. He may disappear and come back later ... the cvs did that with the villain in their earlier show. The actor did mention that he has shades ... but currently for the viewers he is turning blacker with every episode ... maybe for the villagers he will stay white for a long time to come.

The fact that they have penned 200 episodes already, and that ST is emphasizing the importance of the story repeatedly in his interviews, does give me hope ... for the rest, just have to wait and watch! Rangrasiya is definitely off to a good start ... let's hope it continues at the same level.

the ease of the relationship with his dad.. how his dad has always been the bitter poisonous man, and cuts his call.. and rudy smiles. he is comfortable with the reaction, even expected it.. that was such a man's man connection. he is the adult in that relationship now.. his father is still stuck in the past..

i really like that the writers thought to include the father-son dynamics in the story, though it is so insignificant at this point. yes, ranawat's bitterness shaped his son's life, but his son is made of sterner stuff. he wanted to be strong, he became the strongest he could legally.. a BSD officer.. says more about rudra than that scene where he pours daaru on his scrape.

now i am scanning all the females in the cast.. which maata has hazel eyes?

Yep, that was a good scene ... a very typical relationship between two taciturn men, both not given to being very expressive ... yet they have a silent understanding between them ... apart from the role reversal.

Did Rudra become a BSD officer because he wanted to be strong? Or hold a position of power, because he felt so powerless in his personal life? Or because the village he came from hated the BSD, so he joined the BSD to return some of the hatred he received as a boy ... his way of revenge and retaliation? Quite a few possibilities ...

Stay standing after fainting??😲 Mushkil hai par naamumkin nahi.. I ve managed to stagger to a seat sometimes.. And with a Rudra to catch, will power can do impossible things too😆😆

But what I dint understand is how does Rudra anticipate her fainting?

Why does he run to her at all in the first place.. He knows she is beyond the fire's range, coz he just left her there after rolling and rolling and rolling.. Point? Major-sa is not as immune to beautiful women as he thinks he is..😳😳

Hi Diya, Wonderful post and I love reading your analysis and take on each episode. I read it late, it's Sunday afternoon and much has been said, but I wanted to leave you a note. 😊

I am loving the familial relationships in the story so far, quite realistic to real life. In this episode we saw the softer gentler Rudra despite the bitterness he has grown up with. He has his mother's eyes and also her gentle love in him. He is the offspring of the Beast and the Beauty. She left and I am sure at some point we will discover why...good or bad...her son is not so hateful. The gentle breeze of Birpur soothes him and he smiled. 😊

PS: I had a guy faint in my biology class during an experiment where we were studying muscle behavior and had to prick a rat. There were 4 of us standing at a table. He hit the ground...no one was fast enough to catch him.

I love Ranrasiya. The cinematography, the action, the first meeting of the protagonists.

Especially our Othello and our Desert Rose playing Rolling in the Sand 😆

Lovely post ...did they say that they penned 200 episodes? Oh that's music to my ears..I hope they stick to their story and not start playing the trp game.
I am very impressed with the PH and the entire cast and crew so far. Wonder what they take with their coffee in the morning😆

Looking forward to more episodes and more of your posts !
