In an exclusive chat with India Forums, Aamir Ali opened up about a question that quietly troubles every actor. What really defines success? Is it headlining a television show, leading a film, or simply staying relevant across platforms?

While many actors measure their journey by box office numbers or title roles, Aamir offered a refreshingly honest take on how he views his own career graph.

Big Screen vs Small Screen Debate

When asked how he once perceived the film versus television divide, Aamir did not shy away from self reflection. He said, "When I used to do TV, I would say that the big screen or small screen; also I would not get film offers hence I would say that (chuckles) but yes I would say that big it the big screen or be it the small screen, thay isn't important or holds no value but the quality of work that you're putting out is the most important thing."

His candid admission adds context to a debate that has long existed in the entertainment industry. For years, television actors were often expected to aspire to films to validate their careers. Aamir’s response highlights how that mindset has evolved.

The Rise Of The Phone Screen Era

Aamir also pointed out how dramatically the industry has shifted. Today, the biggest stars are no longer confined to theatres or primetime television.

"And now, as one can witness, everyone is doing on the smallest screen possible, not even TV, actors are coming on your phones with movies and shows, even the biggest of actors are doing it. So yeah, I believe it has to be quality that's most important over and above anything else."

With streaming platforms dominating viewership patterns, his statement feels timely and sharply observant.

Success Is Not About Medium

For Aamir, the platform has stopped being the conversation. The craft is the conversation. Whether it is television, films, or OTT, he believes the work itself must speak.

This perspective reflects a growing industry truth where boundaries between mediums have blurred and audiences care more about compelling storytelling than format.

Amar Vishwas And What’s Next

Aamir Ali was recently seen in the Amazon MX Player series Amar Vishwas alongside Rajeev Khandelwal and Ravi Behl. The show further cements his steady presence across evolving platforms, proving that versatility and consistency matter far more than labels.

TL;DR

In an exclusive chat with India Forums, Aamir Ali made a startlingly honest admission about his career journey. “I would not get film offers hence I would say that,” he laughed, recalling the big versus small screen debate. Today, he believes platforms do not matter. With actors now arriving straight on our phones, Aamir insists quality alone defines true success.
