Wow Diya your posts are getting even more poetic - lovely 😃
So we get a continuation of their first meeting - a standing faint which I believe is possible from experience, but there's never a hot BSD officer around when you need him in my case😆

The second half of their first meeting is less explosive than the first half - but the way their eyes keep locking in mirrors especially is poetry

I sense the emotional man under the tough hard exterior of Rudra, he looks at Paro when her marriage is mentioned did he feel a stirring in the place where his heart should be?
Why does he let the girls go? Does he believe in Paro's innocence, will it lead to a further sense of betrayal from him later?
Also with his father despite their dysfunctional relationship, he still makes him food and calls him up
Now I understood what Ashish said about staring out of the window for hours , it fits Rudra perfectly

The alcohol too is another outlet for the emotional man to forget himself- it numbs his mind just like it numbed his arm from the bullet wound ( shirtless image very welcome in week one!)

A complex silent (and hot) man

I loved the focus on paro and rudra's past and how their fates are intertwined

Paro is struggling in today's episode- what is bothering her? The fire which brings back painful memories? New found stirrings in her heart for her saviour? But she is meant for another isn't she? She is already tied to someone else? Maybe it's just gratitude how can she feel anything else for the man who symbolises what she has been taught to hate, the brutal murderer of her parents - yet then why did she caress his blood on her blouse?
The nightmares continue for her- saviour or destroyer? Why the hatred in his eyes?

A mention for the other characters - a loving mamisa- bestows another gift from Paro's mother to her
(Good thing Paro likes the dress as she will have to wear it at a lot of promos, press launches and banners!) the bubbly friend who dares praises the BSD

Hot landlordji is now getting darker and darker, such anger at the BSD, disregard for human life once again as he threatens to kill Bindi, but he covers up with a fatherly hand on Paro' shoulder
And Thakurain - how much does she know? She seems to hate the BSD too - I had a wild thought - maybe she is their informer too or was?

I just love this show and as we got the introductions to the characters this week, we will see the story slowly start to unfold next week, with the wedding from hell, which rips apart Paro's dreams just as the bullet rips through her husbands body - honestly bring on Monday !

Can't they run this show 7 days a week? Mind you then I'd have even less of a life!

Diya any chance you could translate the lyrics to the song I'd love to understand it properly

A rather emotional and sentimental dive into the past..Which leaves me with very less to say and hoping to read a lot tonight..

A totally jhakkass beginning with Rudra leaping across the fire right in time to catch the fainting Paro.. Loved how he carries her so effortlessly and that with a bullet lodged in his shoulder.. 😳😳

The rest of the BSD team, in the typical Indian police in films style arrives when all the action is over..And is quick to blame the girls😡 Rudra takes the side of the girls repeatedly.. So when he sees Paro with the weapons, he will feel all the more betrayed..

Thakurain takes care of Paro so sweetly.. Thakur sa comes in and Bindi baisa provokes him to say his epic dialogue and she leaves in tears.. Dont any of them smell anything fishy in his over- reaction ??

Loved today's flashback- Paro's face as she reminisces the episode!!😊

The scene of a shirtless Rudra was hot but going with the mood of the episode the memory that remains in my mind is of him pouring alcohol coldbloodedly into the wound.. Hope he got the bullet removed though..

How does a tattoo of a scorpion imply the goon is from sarhad paar?? Mhare understanding ke bahar hai..

Paro is to wear her mother's bridal dress.. Now this is traditionally considered lucky but for Paro, me shudders!! A very sentimental moment perfectly enacted by Sanaya!

Rudra reminisces.. I dont know what it was about that flashback but it almost had me in tears feeling sad for Rudra.. A father who should have been his support has instead become like a festering wound in the body.. His father's bitterness eats into any remaining humanity in Rudra and leaves behind a hollow shell of a man who only has alcohol to soothe his pains.. He is so hardened even a well meaning colleague's words only drive him deeper into the dungeons of his despair..

Paro's nightmares again, but now she clearly associates Rudra's face with them.. Will this lead to a positive result with her overcoming her fears or worsen it??

And the precap!!😭😭 I really like Bindi in spite of her blunders.. Thakur's devilry knows no limits.. But the reason why I dont like this is its making his character so one dimensionally evil.. Where are the shades of gray we were promised..😕

Today's episode makes me feel more sad for Rudra than Paro not because his pain is greater but because he's bearing it all alone..😭

Lovely post, Deeps! I'm in the same boat ... want to read more 😛

What stayed with me today ... the shadows of the past for both Rudra and Paro, which are looming over their present.

Neither Rudra nor Paro has ever been allowed to forget their tragedies ... in Rudra's case, it is worse, because although he probably has both parents living, one has abandoned him ... and the other has fueled that sense of abandonment ever since. No softness, no tenderness in Rudra's life ... yes, there is some sort of unspoken, unexpressed affection between father and son ... but the warmth a woman brings to a home, is missing.
Again I wonder ... was that doll exchange the only warmth, the only softness Rudra has had in his life all these years?

And Paro ... on the surface she is surrounded by love and warmth, two loving maternal figures, a protective father figure in the Thakur, a loving friend ... yet she has not rid herself of her nightmares either. And slowly those nightmares are beginning to show her a face ... the fact that Rudra saved her today, doesn't seem to have swung her in his favour ... he is still the face in her nightmare ... although she knows he shed blood for her ...

The other scenes which stayed with me ...
Rudra staring at Paro in his arms ... and his reaction at the mention of Paro's marriage ...
Paro staring at Rudra when she recovered ... and her touching his blood on her shoulder ...

They have just met ... the journey has barely started ... we have a long way to go.

I sincerely hope they are able to balance the characters out especially Paro's as while everyone seems to be clear on Rudra's Character-sketch, there does not seem to be much clarity and maybe too much flexibility with respect to Paro's (warning bells at-least to me as I do not want an ounce of comedy from her in this show😡).

You have the Thakur who is two-faced and apparantly not an MCP as he made it clear today.

If the younger sister had been a boy, she would be buried in sand by now for praising BSD, so yeah that is different😕 . Also thankfully we still do not see him lusting after gals only guns, again
hatke.😳😆

You have the Thakur's wife who is all motherly especially towards Paro express her concern about a new BSD officer to her hubby - makes you wonder how closely involved is she with her hubby's dealings? Maybe it is her way of keeping a check on her hubby ki he is obsessed with guns not gals😈

I do wonder how the girls ended up in the Thakur's home , weren't they supposed to be dropped in their own home?

RP scenes that I absolutely loved - The first time she sees him in the mirror, the way he looks up at her in the rear-view mirror and his reaction when he finds out she is getting married in a week

Waisay bitwa/bitwa-sa/bit-sa/...? is following the glorious tradition of ladki dekhi, dimaag on vacation funda - When the junior officer tells him he suspects the girls' , R-sa brushes it off.

Kyon bhai the junior officer is not on a desert safari, has been longer in Birpur than him, chances of him knowing the locals and having some intelligence info are pretty good, but nope, R-sa decides to cut him off - CLINCHER for me as I got a character who is going to have less or no dialogues and by chance mil bhi gaya toh will be constantly cut off.

Faltu Gyaan - Every good show will have one character who may be a real bhai, cousin bhai, almost bhai with little or no dialogues - Show superhit hai boss!!!😉😆

p.s. - The Junior Officer👍🏼, I am 99.9% sure is the same guy who was the rich bratty kid in Pappu Can't dance saala song😎

Shwethuuu !!!! 🤗🤗🤗

Tu aa gayi!!!

Arey baba ... R-sa ne achha kiya ... those silly officers were running after the girls, and evil Kesari got away ... Bitwa here still has dimaag intact ... for now! 😆

Where's the bhai here? Need one pronto ... if that's what maks the show a hit! Shwethu's purana funda! 😆

Thakur had two redeeming dialogues today ... one was about gaon ki bitiya ... and the other was the one about no matter the suhaag ka joda got lost, the wearer of it is safe, and that's more important.

Even though we know he didn't mean either of them 😆 ... lekin bolne mein kya jaata hai! 🤣

No comedy in Paro at all till now, thank the Lord ... I want to see her character evolve slowly, and strengthen over time. Right now, she is completely chui mui ... which is nice to see for a while, but not for too long. And definitely not the silently suffering rona dhona types please! She does seem to have a quiet strength already ... which is pleasing.

Pappu is indeed Pappu can't dance saala ... I was wondering where I had seen him before!! 😆

Welcome back, bey!!!

Fabulous take as usual!
Another good episode today, it was a sort of a build up for next week when the actual story begins.
Paro finally is able to see the face of the man that comes in her nightmares everyday which is none other than the one who protected her today. Whether he will protect her later is yet to be seen!
Loved the Paro- Mamisa scene. Sanaya was brilliant in that scene. It almost had me in tears!
Paro has already affected Rudra.. he seemed very taken aback after finding out about her marriage, though covered it up straight away.
Can't wait for next week,, looking forward for the marriage!

As there are already wonderful analysis of the episode here, I will just list a few things that intrigued me in Friday's episode.

I liked the quite communication and connect that Rudra and Paro already seem to have, not a word exchanged yet, but there is a connect. Of the course the whole carrying her to safety was beautifully shot and executed, physics and biology notwithstanding, but chemistry was there! 😳

Another thing that intrigued me was the relationship of Thakur and his wife. She is not subservient to him,and she also seems to believe in Thakur's ideology and is supportive. When Thakursa crosses his line, with a glance or a touch she restrains him. Her last shot was about her concern about a new BSD officer in town, so what role does she play in this whole set up and how much does she know? Also curious about overwhelming affection towards Paro.

Really liked the mamisa and Paro scene, very touching and poignant, and Paro's nightmare will start after adorning her mom's bridal dress, any symbolism there? Let's see...

This episode further gave insight into Rudra and his father's relationship, liked the screenplay here, this time it's Rudra asking his father to forget and move on and a husband who cannot forgive and a father who will not let his son forget. Liked how it was the exact same scene only 15 years later and the tables have turned. It also gives an indication that Rudra is bitter and hurting but there is a desire to heal and move on somewhere.

All in all a good first week and the team has truly delivered. Hoping the writers and creatives keep up the pace. The marriage scenes have been shot lavishly, and I am looking forward to couple more Rudra and Paro encounters before tragedy strikes.

Diya, thank you for your takes, they always add so much more to the viewing experience.

Amazing episode today. although there were times when I was like, what? One of those was when Rudra is happily staring at an unconscious Paro while a fire is raging right there, next to them. And then he walked through fire. 😲 That was me.
But overall, an amazing episode. Thakur-Sa already showing his true colours. And scolding poor Bindi. Hmm, looks like Thakurain buys into his BSD-is-evil-incarnate crap. Or did she say that just to please him? Rudra's memories are so painful. Although Paro had a worse shock when her parents died, she was brought up with love. While Rudra had to make do with a father who still hasn't gotten over the betrayal of his beautiful wife. And one who reminds Rudra everyday that his presence is the reason for it. Because he has his mother' s eyes. About the JO Rudra dissed today- that one is going to come back with a very strong argument once Paro's baraat is caught. He'll probably taunt Rudra, I-told-you-so style. And that will only reinforce Rudra's belief that beautiful women are heartless, faithless. And that she played on his empathy.

Great post Diya. Today's episode was lovely. I loved how Rudra ran to protect Paro from the blazing fire. Although he intended to punish the culprit, Paro became his priority and he ran to protect her. This is an indication that in the future he will leave his duty as an officer to protect and stay with his love. Poor Paro was grief stricken by the current happenings and the possibility of her nightmare becoming a reality. She faints from fright and exhaustion. Her savior Rudra comes on time to hold her in his arm as he prevents her from any injuries. For a moment, Rudra is shocked and overwhelmed to have an unconscious beauty in his arms. He looks at this innocent beauty and carries her securely in his arms, away from the fire and any other harm. I liked seeing Rudra's caring and protective side as he held an unknown and helpless girl. She was vulnerable and at his mercy and yet his only focus was to get her to safety.

Paro awakes to see Rudra's face first. Rudra seems to be kind today as he lets the girls off the hook. He doesn't feel like interrogating them as they have already been through a lot. He is momentarily surprised to learn that Paro is the bride. I suspect that he was partially disappointed but the officer in him masks his feelings. He glances at the beauty one last time in his rear mirror and he catches her gaze at his direction. For some reason they can't keep their eyes off each other, be it curiosity or simply attraction. Paro is probably surprised that a BSD officer saved her and her dignity. She has been raised to believe their cruelness and yet she is exposed to the generosity and civility of Rudra. On the other hand, Rudra may have kept a distance from women as he is an army officer, thus it's weird to be around a lovely and innocent girl.

I liked how Paro was worried about Rudra's injuries as his blood had stained her blouse. This is yet another connection that she is now tainted or bonded with his blood. Rudra risked his life to protect her and Paro is still overwhelmed and surprised by his actions. She knows that she would not be safe and alive if it was not for Rudra. But what about the tales she heard against BSDs, could Rudra be different?

It was interesting to see Tewajat and his wife verbally show their displeasure of the girls praising Rudra, a BSD officer. Tewajat angrily shouts at Bindi to stop praising the evil BSDs, he'd rather take the praises of a dog than these men. It is probably the first time that the girls are exposed to his anger, Paro is shocked while Bindi is in tears.

So apparently Paro is not allowed to leave her home without her doli. She's momentarily kept at home for the fear that anything bad may happen to her again. I loved the scene where mamisa gives Paro her mother's wedding attire and tells her that she can wear it for her wedding. Paro has tears of happiness as she embraces her mother's clothes. She feels as if she has her mother in her arms as she smells her fragrance from the attire. It was such an emotional scene. Sanaya was excellent in this scene. We could feel her longing and great love for her mother.

On the other hand, Rudra recalls his last talk with his father about leaving for Birpur. His father angrily denies going with his son only to be called by his name. Rudra tells his father to forget the treacherous woman who was his mother but his father claims he could never forget her as Rudra has her eyes. This scene was interesting for me as it shows a reversal of roles. When Rudra was a child, his father shoved a plate of roti in front of him and tried to force him to eat, he even said that his mother must be forgotten as she belonged to no one in particular. At that time, his father was the dominant one and now Rudra dominates his father. He gives a plate of food to his father and shouts at him to forget his ex-wife. It is interesting to witness how time has changed people and to what extent. Rudra has experienced a drastic change in character over the years and now he is ruthless and nothing but ruthless.

Paro experiences yet another nightmare but this one terrifies her further since she recognizes Rudra as her tormenter from her former nightmare. She is torn between reality and her dream. The precap is terrifying. I can't believe Tewajat kills Bindi so that he could not be exposed. He has fallen even further in my eyes. I'm excited for Paro's wedding and Paro-Rudra's next meeting. Ashish, Sanaya and Tarun were brilliant in today's episode.
