cold wave in Rajasthan

The whole of Rajasthan is shivering and in BV it is summer. The bahu takes dupki in the cold lake and emerges none the worse for it. Oh, BV CVs why can't you be a little realistic? At least give them a shawl each to wear which they can take off after shoot.
Not just this. There is complete carelessness with regard to details, Army officers get treated in army hospitals even after retirement. But in BV-land the wives of serving army officers (anoop and alok) are admitted to a regular hospital for delivery. And this when one of the officers is away fighting a war !!. Army officers have orderlies and a retinue of labour to take care of the smallest problem. But no, not in BV. Here they do everything by themselves even when they are in service. The wife will take a rickshaw instead of requisitioning a car on emergency grounds..
Same goes with collector sahib. All over India collectors/district magistrates live in official bungalows. They have to because they work 24 into 7. Petition-wielding and distressed common folk throng the collector's door through the day and the collector is the points person for all disaster relief and help. Not in CV. Here the collector lives at home, leaving behind office at the stroke of 5. I thought I heard him say his office doesn't close at 6. Obviously it does in Udaipur and after that not one person in the whole district can/will come to meet him.
The collector also drives around in a private SUV unaccompanied by officials or even his PA. The sarkar doesn't give him a car though service rules require that he travel in one.
I'm still wracking my brains for the 1989 war that India fought with Pakistan in which Anoop went missing! They could have easily shown him fighting the insurgency in Kashmir which actually started in 1989. But then Anoop wanders into India through Rajasthan so it can't be the J&K insurgency.
And Pak militants look distinctly Hindu and Rajasthani. They cross into India and GOI is not in the least bothered about why and how they came in. Remember Mumbai 2008? What havoc that caused all-around and how much news that made for days together.
But in BV militants are everyday affairs. The district collector who is heading towards Jaitser will turn back because all is well. And says who? Dadisa. The family matriarch will decide what an IAS officer should do when news of militants entering his former district reaches him. He does not even call the current collector to find out the details of the shoot out and ask if he needs help. Forget asking. Any IAS officer in the vicinity will rush to the place -- that is in the blood of every officer. He won't just turn around and go back to the safety of his home because Dadisa says "beta devimaa ke kripa se sab theek hai."
Getting the details right doesn't require resources or elaborate research. You can be authentic without spending one paisa extra but no, when you can get it wrong and still get decent TRPs why bother with getting it right?
