UPA govt congratulates Gauhar Khan on Big Boss win; says achievement as good as winning a Nobel Prize

Delhi: At a press conference today, Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde congratulated Gauhar Khan on winning Big Boss 7, on behalf of the UPA led government. Mr. Shinde also went on the record to state that "the win is as good as someone winning a Nobel Prize for India."

When quizzed about the comparison with a Nobel Prize, Mr. Shinde said, "We are Indians- we should keep the bar low. Very few Indians will win Nobel Prizes or Oscars. But we can always win Big Boss." When informed that the season of Big Boss had people from India only, the Union Minister was quick to respond, "What are you saying? There was that hot looking Israeli girl who could not speak Hindi. Only Mr. Narendra Modi fudges facts... not UPA politicians."

"I might miss a terror attack or two but I never missed an episode of Bigg Boss," the Home Minister confessed later.

Gauhar Khan, whose previous achievement in life had been ten minute roles in two films, was unavailable for comment.
