Malayalam actor Santhosh K Nair passed away in a road accident in Adoor, Kerala on Tuesday, May 5. He was traveling with his wife, Rajalakshmi, when their car crashed into a parcel truck on the MC Road near Puthussery.
The accident happened around 6:30 am near Adoor Enath. The car carrying the actor reportedly went out of control and crashed into a truck. Santhosh was taken to Adoor Life Line Hospital after the crash but unfortunately died from his injuries.

Santhosh K Nair's wife, Rajalakshmi, who was also in the car, was seriously injured and is receiving medical attention. The truck driver, Sudheesh, also sustained injuries in the collision. The Malayalam film and television community is in shock over the actor's sudden death.
Santhosh was a well-known figure in Malayalam cinema and television, having appeared in numerous films and serials throughout his career. His passing has deeply saddened audiences who were familiar with his work.

Santhosh K Nair started his film career in 1982 with Ithu Njangalude Katha. Over his extensive career, he became known for his versatility, taking on over 100 roles that spanned villains, leading characters, supporting actors, and comedic performances, establishing a solid presence in the industry.
His filmography includes a variety of well-regarded Malayalam movies such as Cousins, Ginger, Sringaravelan, Kammath & Kammath, Madirasi, Kaaryasthan, Khaki, Bus Conductor, The Tiger, Yuvajanotsavam, Kandu Kandarinju, and April 18, among many others.
Santhosh’s personal front
Santhosh K Nair was born on November 12, 1960, in Thiruvananthapuram, into a family with strong academic roots. His father, CN Kesavan Nair, was a retired headmaster, and his mother, P Rajalakshmiamma, was a retired teacher. Though his parents later relocated to Ethiopia, Santhosh spent his formative years in Pettah, largely under the care of his maternal grandparents, along with his two sisters.
After completing his education at St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School and pursuing mathematics at Mahatma Gandhi College, where he was also politically active, Santhosh decided against following his sisters into gynecology. Instead, he chose to forge a career in acting.
