Today is 4th of Jan,the entry day of Sriti Jha as Ganga.Its a very special day for all the Sriti fans,Jagya fans,Shashank fans,JaGan fans,SriShank fans.

Its a special day for Sriti fans because after quite a few months Sriti was back onscreen and how!What an entry she took in the show.Grand entry but in a unique way.

Its a special day for Jagya fans because on this day Jagya was shown after one long month and looking at Ganga's entry it was evident Jagya is back and he is going nowhere.

Its special for Shashank fans because all his fans were sad and frustated thinking why Shashank is nowhere in the show despite of being the male lead.So Sriti's entry as Ganga has gave them happiness once again.

And its special for JaGan and SriShank fans because we love them as a jodi,the unbeatable chemistry,the unique pair where both the actors are known for their powerful and expressive acting.A unique pair of two characters where both of them met when they were broken and didn't know what to do,how to smile,when they were all alone.A pair who understood each others pain and did everything to help each other.

So lets celebrate Sriti Jha,our lovely Miss Jha's entry in Balika Vadhu in a grand way and let the world know that though she left and no more portraying the character of Ganga but she can never be forgotten,let the world know We Miss Her.

Indeed this is a classic case of "She came,She saw,She conquered"

The Journey Of Sriti Jha

Sriti Jha was born in Begusarai in Bihar. She spent 10 years in Kolkata, after which she moved to Kathmandu(Nepal) and later shifted to Delhi She is a great dancer. She joined the English dramatics society named "Verbum" in 2004. She actively started pursuing Dramatics and also went on to become the President of the society and got her first main role in a Verbum play titled "Ritual In Blood". She won one Best Actor award in the Delhi University dramatics circuit for this particular performance.

Sriti Jha made her television debut in Dhoom Machaao Dhoom (DMD) on Disney Channel India. She played the shy and superstitious Malini Sharma who was part of the all-girl musical group in school called the Pink Band.

She bagged the lead role in the romantic drama Jiya Jale on 9X channel The show was short-lived but she was soon signed on to a new show Angad which unfortunately never took off.

She was next seen on Imagine TV's Jyoti in which she played the parallel lead as Jyoti's sister Sudha. The role was something of a breakthrough for Sriti as she won wide praise playing a character with split personality disorder. She handled the roles of the timid and fearful Sudha and the bold and glamourous Devika with equal panache.

At the same time she was also signed on to play the main lead in Star Plus's fantasy show Shaurya Aur Suhani as Princess Suhani. Since both Jyoti and Shaurya Aur Suhani were helmed by the same production house she was able to work simultaneously on both shows.

Shaurya Aur Suhani came to a quick end and her track in Jyoti came to a close soon after which she joined Imagine TV's next Rakt Sambandh as main lead.

After Rakt Sambandh ended she was chosen to star in one of the first shows on brand new channel Life OK Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava? This show was based on the issue of Domestic Violence and it was her role as the tortured wife Jhanvi which gained her the maximum popularity in her career so far. Her chemistry both with both the male leads was widely appreciated and has generated a huge fan following. However, she decided to leave the show, due to the butchering of the show's theme and social message.

She soon joined Colors TV's long running show Balika Vadhu as parallel lead, Ganga, a rustic, illiterate young mother of a one year old son and victim of Child Marriage who runs away from her abusive husband and in-laws. She was paired opposite Shashank Vyas who plays Jagya.

Her specialty lies in her choice of different roles and her versatile performances. She excels at playing diametrically different characters sometimes in the same show.

Ganga

An illiterate victim of child marriage who was trapped in an abusive loveless marriage for (write how many years) long years. She was a victim of marital rape .She showed great courage and faced a lot of criticism when she finally decided to grow a spine and come out of the doomed relation. She left home and the kind Singhs supported her. Ratan Singh separated her from her son and was broken in body and spirit . Once she put her foot down and raised her voice for her right Dr Jagdish Singh supported her on every step. She fought against all odds even enduring the questions the society raised on her closeness with her saviour. She grew as an individual when she joined school and had long conversations with Jagya. Soon she got her son back and even filed for divorce. Soon the narrow line between friendship and love blurred , Ganga started developing feelings for Jagya who was about to be engaged. She went to Mangalore to become a nurse. Once Jagya's fiancee's true face is revealed he marries her.

Chemistry

Sriti with little Dhairya-

From the get go, it was clear that Ganga lived for her son, Mannu. Through the scenes between Sriti and Dhairya, who plays her son, Mannu on the show, we saw one of the most adorable and precious mother-son bonds on television. Whether Ganga was shown reading to Mannu, hugging him, playing with him, or sharing her thoughts while he innocently sat on her lap, the mother-son chemistry was absolutely worth watching. They looked like a believable and heartwarming Maa & beta. Ganga fought the world to get away from an abusive relationship so she could raise her son in a safe and healthy environment, and later got his custody and an education in order to provide him with a better future. Whatever scene they had was absolutely lovely because of the beautiful interaction between the two.

Sriti & Shashank-

Next, it was a treat to watch Ganga & Jagya's growing chemistry. Sriti & Shashank looked fab together and made a very attractive pair. If there's such a thing as love at first sight, then I'd say these two had "chemistry at first sight", or perhaps, from the first meeting itself, when Ganga literally ran into Jagya. Their crazy fans are the biggest testament to what powerful pairing these two were and how excellent their chemistry was on the show. Whether it was a 1 minute scene of an 11 minute scene, they never failed to make an impact. We all feel truly privileged to have witnessed 10 months of these two outstanding actors together. Their every single conversation, eye lock, emotional scene, and romantic scene left a mark on us all. They both mastered the art of "naino ki bhasha" and expressed complicated emotions that came with the relationship of a rich doctor with a messy past, and a simple village girl with a history of abuse.

An Unforgettable Portrayal -

What we liked best about Sriti's portrayal of Ganga was that she made the character lively. Ganga could be innocent and childlike, but powerful and wise too. She was courageous but at times she could be cautious too. We loved the way she said the minimum through her words and expressed the maximum through her eyes. Her eyes expressed hundreds of emotions and she made us cry, smile, laugh and adore her for 10 whole months.
