IT doesn't take much for Shah Rukh Khan to steal the show from the rest of the Bollywood glitterati.
All he had to do is show up at last night's Zee Cine Awards at the Arena Of Stars in the Genting Highlands.
Shah Rukh, 40, showed yet again why he's known as Bollywood's Badshah (King of Bollywood) when he made an appearance at the awards ceremony, which was organised by the Hindi cable station Zee TV to mark the event's 10th anniversary.
The moment he walked into the Arena Of Stars, the audience screamed so loudly they nearly drowned out the commentary of the event's host, director Karan Johar, 35, who said archly: 'It is never for me.'
Shah Rukh had the audience screaming even louder when he opened his segment with a miniature Petronas Towers on stage, recreating a scene from Don, a film shot in Malaysia.
The father of two was then wheeled in on a platform and, with the backing of five showgirls, performed three numbers from his two nominated films, Don and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (KANK, or Never Say Goodbye).
His performance was so hot it even outdid the sexy dance medley by Bollywood starlets like Kim Sharma and Hrishita Bhatt, who danced a tribute to the past 10 years of Bollywood hit songs.
A distant second to Shah Rukh's entertaining ways was Abhishek Bachchan, 31, who did not disappoint the crowd as he dragged his soon-to-be wife, Aishwarya Rai, onto stage to dance to the soundtrack of Dhoom.
