BV always shows city people in pathetic light. What is new?

Alok's said to be some businessman but he is always at home. Mahi does not earn I guess. Sanchi had opportunities to learn or earn but she did neither.

They often retain Shiv also at home or readily bring him back from his office. Very rarely they remember seriousness of a collector's job.

In rural areas, people are hardworking and women especially are superheroines who study, work outside, work at home, take care of kids, wake up before sunrise, stay up all night and manage everything. They never sit or lie on bed or even sofa. Doing so makes them feel odd kyunki baithne ki aadat hi nahi hai na, you see! They can overcome anything be it rape, domestic violence, pregnancy issues etc. while city people get insecure over minor things also.

DS has often been shown going to farms and godowns and giving orders to workers or keeping an eye on them. But Daddu never accompanied Alok to their so called office. He gets all dressed up only to sit in drawing room or dining room and eat?

Singhs think about solutions to problems faced by Shekhars. The latter do not have inkling of what is going on with Singhs (or even their own house!😛) and it is only Shiv and Anandi who help out Singhs or know about their well being!

City people are just freeloaders in BV'verse.

BV is a show based on rural living. So their main aim is to show the rural people and their behaviours and how good and bad they are. It is not right about your claim on only Shiv is earning and rest are sitting and having lavish food earned by Shiv. Even Alok works, though they have not shown his firm. He is also an Ex-serviceman. They have shown him travelling often on business trips.

And they are not showing city people are Bad but showing how they change their version at time of need. They had shown taht with Haveli people as well. They had shown, Sumithra and Daadi as wrong at times. So let us extract whatever is good in that and leave the rest.

Noticed how Ganga has problems in sitting on bed even for a moment whereas Anandi was shown sitting on bed with laptop in last to last episode? City life has slowly and subtly begun to spoil Anandi also.😆

But rural girl Anandi is still ideal. Even her outings happen when elders tell her to go out or when there is a plan to help elders and solve family problems.

Agreed on point that attack of BV CVs has mainly been on women. Almost as if they are peddling an agenda on how women should be! In contrast even female leads in historical and mythological shows these days are stronger than those in BV.

i know BV is based on rural livijg but if they ahve taken the effort to bring a family from city than they can also show some goodness in them (not from emotional but from working POV)...in KB everyone except shiv and mahi is totally vella...they even didn't show saanchi making any progress...being from city they should have shown city people little more forward than village people...there has to be some difference in their lifestyle but they have acually brought village people higher in those terms...it's good to see that they are showing progress in village life but they have shunted the growth of city life for that...there is more to city people than just sitting at home and eating...why haven't they shown shekhars going to mall and some outside family dinner?

Yes, you are right, they should atleast try to show Saanchi complete her course and do some work even if it is in her own college. They can Show Mahi work as well as he is not a 24x7x365 days cricket league player. They can show Ira & Meenu working for some welfare associations / orphanages (atleast after Ira realized Shiv is not her son and yet Meenu didn't brib at her loss). They can do many more things but they are restricting themselves to village and think City people are no great to consider. thy can show Shekars working for the welfare of some village or some oldage home etc. instead of showing them making and eating pakoras always.
