In less than a few hours Shah Rukh Khan will be immortalized in wax when his statue will be unveiled at Madame Tussauds museum in London. Here's more update...
Shah Rukh, who has recently wrapped his recording for the current season of KBC flew to Malaysia for an award ceremony soon after and then flew to London over the weekend. Experts from the museum had flown down to India earlier and spent time with the Bollywood star on the KBC sets as well as at his home so that they could take precise measurements of his physical features, his face and his hair.

Although it's still not clear what Khan will be wearing to the ceremony, the statue is set to be dressed as Raj from Dilwale Dulhaniya le Jayenge – the movie that laid the foundation for Shah Rukh's rise in Bollywood. In an exclusive interview, Shah Rukh Khan said that he was very excited about the unveiling: "I'm definitely excited about seeing my statue. A few weeks back the guys were down from the museum to take my measurements and they were all so detailed about it. This is truly a great honour. I was delighted to be involved in the whole creative process and can't wait to see the finished figure for myself. And I also can't wait to see my kids react to it when I get them to London next." Shah Rukh is the third Bollywood star to have his wax statue at the museum. Amitabh Bachchan was the first and was followed by his soon to be daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai. |
