There hasn't been a police investigation because MJ confessed that he was the one who raped and murdered Radha so when the defendent himself as said that he is guilty, they put him behind bars. Had MJ said that he was not the culprit then they would have had to do a fully pledged investigation and then he would've been put on trial. I think as Tara finds more clues and MJ is taken back to jail then she'll demand a trial to present all the evidence and put the real culprit behind bars.

still, some initial investigation has to be there

sine mj was not present the day murder happened, so he would not have taken the blame immediately...

poilice investigation n court drama should be a part...may be they will show later
