Jalaal was always obsessed/attracted to Jodha.

But somewhere in the last few months of their married life and living in close quarters he has developed some soft corner for her along with certain amount of trust.

So I feel its definitely a lot more than mere lust, but not yet love.

That trust is still very fleeting. It is conditional to WHO Jodha talks about. If she says something against MahamA or Rukayya the trust vanishes in a second!

Yup. He does not yet completely trust her words yet...But he knows now that she is a good and genuine person.

agreed fully...he loves her...but he hasn't realized it yet...he is unaware of this emotion...as u said he needs to realize it and he will once there is a serious threat of losing her...I think Sharifuddin will do it...I want it badly now !!! Jalal needs to know what is Jodha for him..what is her place in his life...and how much he values, loves her in real...!

I still can't forget his lines from the rejection night:

"hum aappe fateh pana chahte the, aapko jeetna chahte the, aapko apni harem mein sajana chahte the..lekin dheere dheere sab badal gaya..hum chahte the ke aap humein samjhe.."

yes, Jalal did marry her to conquer her, to adorn her as a trophy of his victory but eventually its Jodha's virtues, courage, intelligence made him fall hard for her..all he needs a realization of his feelings..

they r soul-mates afterall
