I don't normally make posts, but after today's episode i'm hella frustrated with Jalal and his band of self centred wives (again mainly Ruq). I'm not just upset about the whole him and Benazir late night rendez- vous but the fact at this point I'm not really sure if the esteemed emperor really loves our Jodha.
Yes he was rejected and that hurt his feelings and his supposed ego but does that justify going all out and humiliating Jodha whenever possible? Ot doesn't even pain him in the slightest to do that to her, is that really love folks? And i'm not referring to him making her jealous but all the public humiliation she's faced at this point.
I'm beginning to think that Jalal does not truly love her at this point, he lusts her and yes there are seeds of love which have taken root in his heart but they have not developed into all out love for Jodha. All those daydreams of Jalal showed that yes there is something there in his heart for Jodha but even he does not know the depths of those feeling as of yet.
In my opinion mostly Jalal's pride was hurt that night, and the love which shapes their story hasn't really started from his end yet. I think he'll only truly realize Jodha's significance in his life and how much he loves her, when there is a real threat to loosing her. Hopefully our Jalal will learn sooner than later.
Sidenote: I'm getting really sick of watching Jalal getting involved in kitchen politics, at this rate he'll even end up replacing ruqqs in the Harem. Cvs Jalal is a young emperor, there is so much scope for showing his growing wisdom in sustaining and expanding his empire. You can show his clash with the rajvanshi's such as Maharana Pratap, you can show him tackling his rebellious brother in laws and in the midst of all this you can unfold the beautiful love story of Jodha and Jalal.
