When there is an issue of this sort - war hero coming home after twenty five years of being declared dead - the Government can and will make adjustments on a case by case basis.

Especially if the IAS officer opts for leave without pay. I know a lady IAS officer who took 2 years of leave to nurse her ailing mother who was suffering from cancer. She had paid leave for 3 months, and the remaining 21 months was leave without pay.

A deputy collector can take over as shiv's 2nd in command in terms of physical visits in and around the district and shiv can always be on phone call consultation basis for guidance on issues.

In addition, it may be possible that shiv didn't take that kind of leave. He might have been in udaipur on the weekdays and in delhi on the weekends. The train time - there are superfast trains - between Udaipur and delhi are 4 hours.

Or shiv might have managed a 3 month training program in new delhi itself to enhance his skills. The government runs all sorts of training programs for IAS officers so that they can upgrade their skills, learn about latest administration research and practice etc.

It is not so unbelievable.

Shiv and Mahi' stay with Anup was more for their mental statisfaction as the army officer had said that everyone can leave him under army security and they will take care of Anup...so it's wasn't really necessary (though it helped) then why would govt. allow a collector take such long continous leave

Yet another assumption...if that was the case why didn't Shiv say to Mahi or someone that he will arrange his work on phone and someone else can take his place for these 3 months

Shiv said he has not been in his bedroom for whole 3 months so it means he did not visit Udaipur in all these three months

If that was the case why didnt BV show...they are no.1 in showing blooper related to Shiv's job but cannot once even make shiv mention something about his training programme...so it's just our assumption

The fact is that BV had indeed made a blooper here

Oh...another goof from CV... they forgot to mention that Anandi was acting collector of Udaipur in the absence of Shiv. 😉

Now do not tell me that it is impossible.

It was made possible when Anandi s file was sent for clearance to Thief Minister and as a special case, he contacted home ministry and they accepted the proposal
