@bold, Agree, no harm in discussing that if so be it. But one thing is for sure, it is nothing to do with whether INDIANS like it or it. It is more to do with whether such talks are ok on prime-show where families are watching it together or not.

@ red I have no issues if CVs are trying to tell us that if a woman can't conceive, then the couple can't enjoy their private life. In fact I am happy they did. But not happy with their scene and method. Pills is not the only way to avoid pregnancies. He straight-away gave her pills, as if it is only her role to avoid pregnancy. CVs could have showed a different and mature convo, where J could have assured G that they will still enjoy their personal life and will look after each other, simple. No need to show us specifics or highlighting on only one method of contraception.

I am not against what CVs are trying to show, but the way it has been shown. It does not feel right. My POV.

@ green - I agree, it just did not look right. No need to tell the viewers how they will avoid pregnancy.
@blue - I was also not happy with the story line in this. In India- contraception is mainly a burden of women (even if there is no medical issues, still family planning is needed) even though pills and other temporary methods for women have more side effects. Tubectomy is also more complicated than vasectomy but in India - mostly women are required to take up temporary/permanent contraception. I thought that they took the route of pills so that they can show Ganga deliberately not taking them- but then they made Ganga pregnant all of a sudden and my assumption proved wrong.
