This was undoubtedly a beautiful promo. Yash and Aarti's characterization has been beautifully sketched from the very first promo, and I must say it has remained consistent throughout the entire show.

"Bohot khoobsurat hai"

"Haan... yeh meri wife Arpita hai"

Aarti praises the beautiful lady in the photo she had seen on the wall with good intentions and Yash proudly agrees. Yash from the beginning, sees perfection in Arpita and Aarti sees it too - perhaps because Aarti has been extremely insecure about herself ever since Prashant left her for another woman.
Yash says yes, this is my wife in the present tense. He has not come to terms with the fact that he has another wife now and Arpita is not going to come back.
Aarti looks around the bedroom, sorrowfully, feeling like she's invading the privacy of Yash and Arpita just by standing in their bedroom. When Yash loved his wife this much, then why wasn't she loved to this extent by Prashant? She silently wonders why she wasn't loved so much. The thought makes her even more insecure.
She touches the flowers that hang from the top of the bed, softly making a mark in the room. But before she does that, she glances back.
"Kya aap aapne pehle pati ko itnahi yaad karte hai?"
Aarti grips the flowers more tightly as soon as Yash asks this question. She wants to hold onto her life with Yash. This foreshadows that there will be a moment in time where she will be pressurized to let go of Yash, but she only holds on tighter. The reason for this will be Prashant, her ex-husband, and Yash's misconception that Aarti would choose Prashant over Yash.

Then she grabs a pillow and holds it against her chest, cushioning her heart, protecting it from getting hurt again. She tries to walk away, but she faces Yash instead, coming into direct contact with the potential source of pain. Walking away will not work when Yash Scindhia is in front of her. As much as she tries to deny it, to run away from it, her defenses will drop. This is inevitable.
This beautiful thirty second promo told so much.

You NEED to do this more often Saffi! This was awesome! Brought back such good memories. Really loved your post, especially the bit on Aarti clutching onto the flowers - suggesting that she wants to hold onto her life with Yash. Brilliant! :)

Saffi this is the promo, especially those dialogues, are what attracted me towards PV. And then saw that Dargah promo, where my heart skipped a beat, as it played the Yeh Dil Hai song. I immediately fell in love with the song also,
And then came the deadliest promo, the bathroom one 🤢, after that I literally started counting days for when PV will start.

I made a record with PV, I didn't missed a single episode.

And Saffi the way you've analyzed this promo has made me appreciate it more 👏

Thank you Anu! I enjoy doing these. It makes me feel insightful and helps me in improving my analytical skills. This show itself has so much depth that I could probably ramble on forever about this 30 second promo.

The promos attracted me towards the show too. This promo holds so much mystery, especially through the three dialogues of Yash and Aarti. It makes you question what happened to his wife and her husband, and why would they agree to get married to each other?

Thanks Nikki!

*sigh* What a beautiful show it was. Really, a lot of effort went into crafting this show and keeping in mind to address sensitive issues with utmost care. It's a pity that some didn't understand the subject of the show and touted it to be either a regular saas bahu saga or Mills and Boon's show (baffles me how people found this similar to a M&B show!). Anyways, please do this more often! I can't wait to read what else you come up with. Can't help but feel extremely sad at the same time though ...

Thank you! 😃 I really want to do it for later promos too but I can only find promo 3 right now. The other two seem to have gone missing.

Yes, I don't know how much more perfect this show could have been. If perfected existed, then Punar Vivah Zindagi Milegi Dobara would have been the epitome of perfection (until the end of 2012 in my opinion). From the storyline to the actors, everything about this show was perfect and I couldn't have asked for better.

Yeah, I honestly don't know how PV could be classified a M&B show. I think it is just called that because of the online fanbase to be honest. 😆

This show was a masterpiece, whether people want to believe that it was saas/bahu, mills and boons, or anything else.

Thanks! I'll try and do it more often! ^_^
