Raveena Tandon has done only a handful of films since her marriage ad the actress blames her personal commitments for taking precedence over the professional ones.

Raveena, 39, who has two children with husband Anil Thadani and two adopted kids, says she is is in no hurry to do films at this point of time.

"For me, work did take a backseat after marriage. I can't afford to take up such projects at this point of time which will keep me away from my home for long. I am not in hurry to do more films. I will only do those projects, whose schedules suit me," Raveena told PTI.

Post her marriage with the film distributor, Raveena appeared in films like 'Pehchaan: The Face of Truth', 'Sandwich', 'Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap' and 'Shobhana 7 Nights' but these films did not do well at the box-office. Talking about her last project 'Shobhana 7 Nights', which was considered as her comeback to Bollywood, Raveena said the film was too real to get a commercial acceptance.

"'Shobhana 7 Nights' was a festival film. The film didn't get a good response at the box-office but it got appreciated at the Jaipur Literature Festival and Chicago South Asian Film Festival. Makers told me earlier only that the film will not do good at the box-office," she said.

Having started her career with 1991 film 'Patthar Ke Phool', the national-award winning actress shifted her base to comedy and gave hits like 'Andaz Apna Apna', 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', 'Gharwali Bharwali' and 'Aunty No 1'.

Raveena will be next seen in Anurag Kashyap's 'Bombay Velvet', an adaptation of Gyan Prakash's book 'Mumbai Fables'. The film narrates the story of how the city of Mumbai became a metropolis against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and jazz music.

The actress plays a jazz singer in the film.

"I will start shooting for the film soon. I don't need any prior preparation for playing the character because my 25-year-old career made me a good performer. I heard the narration and found it phenomenal," Raveena said.

For the film, she is again teaming up with Kashyap crime drama 'Shool' in 1999.

"Anurag called me up for the film and said he wanted me for the role. We haven't done anything from quite sometime. He is a dear friend and a brilliant director," she said.

Raveena has also ventured into jewellery designing with friend Rupa Bora.
