Shahid's flop run ends with R..Rajkumar

Despite being written off by many critics, the box-office verdict of Shahid Kapoor's R...Rajkumar has been positive.

At the end of its first week, the film has collected approximately Rs 54 Cr NETT out of which Rs 47 Cr have been from domestic markets.

The Prabhu Dheva directed action flick is doing very well in single screens across India. In its opening weekend (according to studio figures), the film grossed Rs 39.77 Cr in India (NETT collections: Rs 30.59 Cr). It released across 2900 screens in India and 300 screens overseas. On weekdays the remained steady at the box office.

This week sees the release of two small budget films, which gives R...Rajkumar an open field, and the film is likely to be the top earner among all the releases this weekend too.

As of now trade experts are projecting that the film will comfortably go beyond the Rs 60 Cr mark; before the Dhoom 3 hurricane arrives.

This will make R...Rajkumar Shahid Kapoor's first clean hit after a long time, and brings an end to his extended run of flops at the box office.
