Khushi was waiting on the bed for Arnav. Her heart was going Dhak Dhak as usual. She felt tired after the ceremony and wanted to sleep. "Where is this Arnavji? Why is he not in yet?"
Meanwhile Arnav was the brunt of all the teasing of his siblings. Finally he paid the dues and entered the room. He had been waiting for this particular night with Khushi for a long time. He saw Khushi yawning and her eyes becoming droopy.
"Khushi." He slowly sat on the bed and removed her ghoonghat. He removed the maang tikka, her earrings, her nose ring, her necklace and finally came to her waist chain. His hands slowly crept up to her neck and he lifted her face for a kiss.
Khushi was part scared and part excited. "Arnavji? Will we kiss tonight? Will we make a baby tonight?"
Arnav was shocked. "Khushi...are you sure? I mean you may be tired. Do you want to take your time?"
Khushi gave a bewildered look. "But Arnavji...why should I take time? If we kiss now won't the baby come out in another ten months?"
"What? Khushi do you mean to tell me you don't know what happens beyond a kiss?"
"What happens Arnavji? Do we get to eat jelabis as well?"
For the first time in his life Arnav was dumb founded. He didn't have any words for his innocent wife.
"Hmm...Khushi...not everything is about jelabis. We have to do certain things after kissing and then if we are lucky a baby will be born after ten months."
"What things Arnavji?"
Arnav anticipated a long, cold shower at the end of the discussion. He thought to himself, at this rate it may take ten years and not ten months for a baby!!!

Arnav went near Khushi and held her hands in his. He leaned his face forward and kissed her on the lips. When she didn't reject his advance, he parted her mouth with his lips and deepened the kiss.
Khushi felt strange sensations running through her body. Her Dhak Dhak and acidity returned full swing. Hey Devi Maiya what is happening to me?
When Arnav started untying her dori and placed his hands slowly inside her choli, she shot out of his arms. "Yeh...yeh aap kya kar rahain hain? Arnavji aren't you ashamed to behave like this? I am going to call Nani right away."
"What the!!! Khushi! Stop! Don't go out now."
"But Arnavji you.."
"Chup! Now sleep and you are not moving anywhere."
Saying this he strode angrily into the washroom for the cold shower.
The morning dawned with a clear sky. Arnav got down and found Khushi already there. The others were teasing Khushi and Arnav. Khushi gave a blank look while Arnav was clearly irritated.
Akash had a thoughtful look on his face. Bhai seems to be totally upset. Probably I need to speak to him in private.
After the conversation Akash had total disbelief written on his face. "Bhai really? And then he started laughing!"
Arnav got up in anger and was about to go when Akash stopped him. "Don't worry Bhai I will ask Payal to speak to Khushi."
"Really?"
"Yes Bhai. No worries. Now enjoy your day and await your wedding night."
With a thankful sigh, Arnav sat back and enjoyed his tea.
