The actor is gearing up to get tougher for his role in the film, reveals a source.
The source says, "Ranbir will be seen portraying an intense character that requires him to get a strong physique. He has worked a lot on transforming his body to fit the bill. The first shooting schedule of the film, taking place in Sri Lanka has been completed." The team, we're told, now gears up for the next schedule of the film which is slated to begin in January.
The source adds, "In the meanwhile, Ranbir has already begun his work-out sessions to achieve his new look." Ashwinder Singh, who has been training Ranbir says, "We are working out twice a day with a mix of strength and conditioning. There is a lot of martial art training and kick boxing involved too. We have altered his diet to put on lean mass and have pushed him beyond his limits."
Other actors who got fit for the big screen
Farhan Akhtar: For Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Farhan, for over a year, underwent heavy exercise sessions to get the body of an athlete.
Aamir Khan: For his next, Dhoom:3, in which Aamir plays the role of a acrobat, the actor regularly worked out to get his body in shape.
Imran Khan: For his upcoming film, Bhavesh Joshi, Imran has put himself on a strict diet and has been working out in order to get a more toned body.
