Sheila i was just watching the episode of the walima, where Dilshad throws down the 10 day challenge. How she roared then! She said, a biwi chup rahe sakti hain lekin ek maa nahin. Even upto the zoyaan nikaah, she was ready to go back to the family and save Zoya. So nothing really changed. Except that one act that shook everyone in their boots. The act where Asad went snd took Zoya back.

Nobody could have stopped him, except Zoya herself, and we all know that she did not. Notice in the walima she had said.. Ek biwi chup rah sakti hain. I knew right then that she was still married!

Mentioning this just to show that she is very much a mother, and she has been manipulated completely out of character. Not only that, Zoyas character has sunk even lower in giving her phuphi misguided and false hope.

The key reason for the success of this manipulation is a womans basic need to feel needed. Somewhere subconsciously, she felt that Asad did not need her any more, and Rashids time had come. She will soon be disabused of that illusion. When everyone praises Haider to the skies, she will remember that her son is a young and successful builder too,and no one, least of all his abbu, wants to mention that! In addition the overdose of Shireen, Razia, badi bi and Rashids spinelessness will soon send her back home. In the end, a mother will leave her spouse and return to her son.

How these writers actually think we are all stupid, ignorant and forgetful. The problem is that most are just waiting for a Mohit to enter, A Asya hug or some silly deed that they forget to notice these shortfalls which disgust me as totally cheating the audience.
