Is it 'doom' for Darshan?

He goes all out to create a 'controversy' a few days before the release, hoping the audience will be stupid enough to buy into the deception.
And so Suneel Darshan would have us believe that his upcoming film, Shaka Laka Boom Boom, based on the rivalry between two musicians of different generations, is actually based on the real-life rivalry between Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.
We're still reeling from a good dose of Sunday morning laughter over this one, so we've decided to jog Mr Darshan's fading memory a wee bit!
Just before he started filming Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Darshan distributed DVDs of Milos Forman's 1984 film Amadeus to the cast, saying that SLBB had been inspired from this Oscar-winning film.
Then he even gave out feelers to the press about his Bollywood take on the life and times of musical prodigy Mozart.
When he realised that no one was interested and that the music wasn't picking up either, he decided to play spin-doctor and churned out a vastly different story on Sunday.

| Mahendra Singh Dhoni seems to be the latest cricketing sensation among B-Towns beauties.
And Tanushree Dutta is the latest maiden to be bowled over (although MSD has very little actual contribution towards that).
We recently heard that Tanu has been flooded with phone calls over her alleged link-up with Dhoni.
The stunned Bongshell was clueless as to why this was happening, when a friend finally revealed that a profile on the popular website Wikipedia was causing all the chaos.
Tanushree's profile on the page reveals, "She had dated Indian cricket's newest icon: Mahendra Singh Dhoni for a year earlier, but they went their separate ways in November 2006."

On enquiring, we learnt that it was the first day of shooting for Viveck Vaswani's Dulha Mil Gaya, which is being presented by Anuj Saxena's Maverick Productions.
The film, written and directed by Mudassar Aziz, stars Fardeen Khan, Sushmita Sen and debutant Ishitta Sharrma, with SRK making a cameo appearance.
Incidentally, this is the first time Sush and SRK will be seen in a film together after Main Hoon Na.

| What can we say? Rakhi Sawant never fails to entertain. What's more, it seems her social calendar is choc-a-bloc with events.
On Thursday, she literally got under the skin of her newly launched supergirl avatar and fluttered about at two different promotional events.
The first was to promote a daily three-minute segment for Sahara Filmy, aptly called Rakhi Ke Bouncers! Now don't go getting any funny ideas here.
The show is based on cricket and starts on March 23, and will be on air for the duration of the World Cup.
Later in the evening, Rakhi attended the launch party of her debut album (Yes! She's even singing now!) called Supergirl, and had all the photogs eating out of her dainty hands.
