*Before I start* I want to let you know, that I am not bashing Zoya, or saying that its her fault...I am not even bashing Dilshaad...So, as much as I like to get in a very healthy conversation with some people who happen to have very interesting view on every matter...I would like more if those people will read what I have written then, we will have The a very healthy conversation as long as they want...

*And I am not trying to say who is right or who is wrong, becase there is no point to find who is wrong and how is right in this situation, because everyone, apart from Rashid, are right in their own way...*

Sophie's Choice, We may have heard and read about this kind of dilemma many times...Dilshaad is facing it for the first time in her life...She has to face a dilemma where she has to choice one cherished person over another person...While many of us thought it was equivalent to Sophie's Choice...And we now know it is NOT, to choose between her husband and son has been very simple for her as she is ready to leave her son the same night he has asked her to choose between him and her husband...Dilshad has not so problem in making her choice also because she thinks that she is leaving Asad is very capable hands, Zoya...whom will take care of her son...well, now we also have the honore to see how capable those hands are in talking care of a man like Asad Ahmed Khan as a wife and like a mother...

Many of you may ask why Asad even put a similar choice in front of a woman...?

Well, He has put a choice in front of a woman...What she wants to be a mother or a wife...It was Asad's desperate attempt...

Before Zoya-Asad talk :- He was sure that his Ammi was being manipulated by that so called man who just wants to lure her in, promising her a happy life just to stab her and hurt her beyond repair...He was sure he was doing something right...He was sure that his mother wasn't leaving him willingly...So, even if she wasn't trying to protect herself, he, as her son, and as her only "Sarbarah", was going to do that for her...He was sure that no matter what he was going to make her see that Janab Rashid was manipulating her again and she was going to get hurt...

After Zoya-Asad talk :- As he just trust Zoya to make him see the right path...he, after Tanveer track, has always listened to her words...Be it in when it came to save Badi bi in Janshne-eid, be it when Najma wanted to marry Imran...he has relied on her sense of judgement, because he has lost his own...So whenever she says something, he forgets what he is thinking and believe in her words to be the ultimate truth...

Maybe this was the reason why he wanted her to stay away and not give him her opinion because it could change his view too, it would break his resolve to fight, fight for his mother...

But as always, Zoya doesn't, won't let anything happen without saying hers...She has done it...

And it HAS changed his view, it has broke his resolve to fight, fight for his mother...

Because he came aware of the fact the Dilshaad Ahmed Khan is not only a mother...The woman he has spend his life with past +17 years, has thought as his Ammi, was/is wife of Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan...He has seen the suffering of that woman and thought that it was a mother who was fighting with world for her children, and along the way, somewhere he has forgotten that she is a wife of Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan...The man who is resposible of his mother's pain...

Dilshaad Ahmed Khan, is a woman whom has played the role of "Ammi" so well, for so long that he has forgotten that she is a wife too...That's why he Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan came in his home and claimed Dilshaad Ahmed Khan as his wife, he screamed at him "Biwi nahi hai woh aapki"...Because to him, she has always been a mother, his Ammi...

And after hreaing Zoya's words, he realized that she, Dilshaad Ahmed Khan is wife of Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan, who has waited for more then 17 years for her husband and that is why he is Not going to stop her, The WIFE of Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan...

He just wants to stop his mother, and if she has been his mother, she won't leave him and if she was just WIFE of Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan, he has never had her...

Now that he knows that his mother is leaving him willingly...So he wants to finish it once and all...He wants her to be a mother or a wife...

Because he is tired of fighting for his love once. He is tired of fighting for their rights. He is tired of fighting for everything he has...He is tired of fighting with them, whom wants to take away everything he has achieved...

He wants to know, Dilshaad Ahmed Khan is a wife or a mother, because this is a time when she can't play both roles...

She has been playing both roles since ever, and he has never been aware of the fact. He wasn't aware that the woman's tears he is drying is a wife too. He wasn't aware of the fact that she was a wife too when he has woken up by her cries of agony at nights...He wasn't aware of the fact that she was a wife too when he has seen her doing all the jobs to make sure her children were not sleeping empty stomach...He wasn't aware of the fact that she was a wife too when he has started to help her...He wasn't aware of the fact that she was a wife too when he has started to protected her from worlds ugly eyes and words...He wasn't aware of the fact that He has been living with the WIFE of Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan...

So, now he wants to know that when he choose his mother over his father, he was right...He wants to know if he is worthy enough, in the woman eyes, to be her son... He wants to know if she thinks after +17 years of his loyalty, she is loyal to him...

That is why he has put a Choice in front of a woman...What she wants to be a mother or a wife...

If she is a mother, then she will choose him, and he will know that he was right, he is right that she is his mother...

If she is a wife, then she will choose Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan...then she is wife Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan...And Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan has been right...He has been right by declaring her as his wife and laying his rights over her...

And if she is his wife, he has NO rights over her to stop her and that is why he won't stop her...

He has and will fight for his mother, But if she is stepping the "chokaat" of his home, as wife of The Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan, Then he being Asad Ahmed Khan has no rights over her, and he has no responsibility towards her...

He wants to be free from the guilt the he has borne over his shoulders past 17 years to not have been able to to protect his mother...He wants to be free from the guilt the he has borne over his shoulders past 17 years to for being the son of Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan, the man whom has hurt his mother...

So, now if she choose him, she will he will continue to protect her with his life...

And if she choose Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan, then he is free, from every responsibility and guilt that he could feel when she will come back wounded by the actions of Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan. Because he know, now or then, Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan will hurt her and he will feel guilty that he has failed his mother, and he has let that man to hurt his mother again...

But now, if she is going as the wife as and not a mother...So, when she will come back he won't have to he bear over his shoulders the guilt of not being able to to protect his mother, because she wonn't his mother all the she will spend out, in the house of her husband...

So, that has been Asad's desperate attempt to protect his mother, but as when she will choose to be a wife, a wife of Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan...Asad Ahmed Khan will be a free man...wounded, abandoned and devastated...But free, from the guilts and responsibilities that has borne over his shoulders past 17 years to not have been able to to protect his mother...Because she has been hurt as a wife more than as his mother...because she has been wife too, wife of Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan all along...

P.s...I have wrote an essay again, an essay that maybe no one will read fully...😒 LOL

P.s.s...Edit:- The things I can see after a day...😆 It's a good thing that my english teacher and Jazzy don't read my posts here...🤣 lol

That's a very beautiful perspective on everything and I agree with what you said. I don't see why we have to constantly blame the other. None of them are wrong in their decision but none of them is really trying to understand fully where Asad is coming from. This has been his reality for the past 17 years, he had to watch his mother cry, suffer and work hard to get food on the table for her children. He's only seen dilshad as his ammi and not a wife because in his eyes she was robbed of that title the moment rashid left her and that title no longer meant anything until rashid just came back and said she's always been his wife. It's not easy to forget all the hurdles and the pain they went through, especially for asad, he's a deeply wounded young boy who still carries around all the hurt and the memories of his mothers struggle and pain. He wouldn't stand for her to be hurt again.

All good but why need to choose when there is nothing to choose😳

Why dilshad is so desperate that she needs to make a choice😕.

I can not understand or sympathize with her, she is just messing her son's life like every one did/does.

each one is right in their own way-

Asad is rightfully trying to stop his Ammi as he thinks that rashid will hurt her again-he is making it hard for Dilshaad and hoping she would choose him.

Zoya is right because she has seen Dilshaad pining for Rashid and vice-versa.For Zoya,Love is paramount.Besides she has not seen the hurt and insult that Dillu faced earlier.

Dilshaad is right as she is old enough to make her own mistakes.if she doesn't stake all for her love,what is left?She has been a great mom and now wants to live her life,make her own decision-good or bad,she has every right...

Dilshad herself told Asad that he has no choice but to accept that she is moving in with Rashid. After talking to Zoya, Asad now realizes he has no right to stop Dilshad from leaving. But he cant bear to see her be Rashid's wife and so he simply gave her a choice. Dilshad already made this choice when she decided to leave with Rashid, Asad is just putting words to actions in my opinion.

You can make everyone happy. This is the case for both Asad and Dilshad right now.

Well, as I said, she is has been a wife waiting for her husband for more then 17 years...NO ONE, not us, not even Asad was aware of the fact the she hasn't, they haven't, Rashid and her both haven't stop considering her as a wife of Janab Rashid Ahmed Khan...So, this is why they here in this situation now where she needs to choose between being a mother or being a wife...

I agree, there is no point to find who is wrong and how is right in this situation, because everyone, apart from Rashid, are right in their own way...

@ bold if this is correct then i dont think she is making any choice. This is then all obivious to her and she is waiting for that right moment to strike or looking for an excuse to cling on to Rashid.

Choice is what Asad made when he was to chose between his amir baap and garib maa. He never thought for a moment and chose her mother. Why dilshad cant do that, her love to her child is pale in front of her love for husband. Why she cant say rasid to raise himself in eyes of his son and then she will move with him. Why such desperation.

Sorry to say but she is not making any choice she is doing what she always want to do. Being Rshid's wife not Asad's mother.
