shivgauri consumate their marriage, durin anupam's and ippy' engagement, then gauri survives and she gets pregnant and this creates problems between shiv and ippy, nikhila tires to get gauri to abort her babies but she doesn't succeed, ippy decides to marry anupam, and push up the marriage date, but this was only to make shiv tell gauri abt their relation, shiv makes a tape cofessin his and ippy's relation, and decides to show it to her, but anupam gets it be4 the day of his weddin, next day he goes to ippy and gives her the option of marryin him and forgettin her past or tell every1 abt her relation with shiv, later shiv comes there and she runs away with him(it was a one hour epi combined with kzk, so all kzk cast were there and prerna was suguna's friend), and prerna comes and gives shiv and ippy a bashan abt the difference between husband and a lover. later Mr Bajaj calls up prerna and tells her abt gauri bein in the hospital, and Shiv hears this and gets tensed and later he goes to meet her in hospital with ippy, after he talks to gauri he decides to leave with ippy and when he comes out he hears gauri cryin in pain(her baby kicked 😕), shiv goes back in and gauri starts talkin abt the baby, ippy sees this, and later shiv comes out again and tells her tht he might not be destined to be with his love, and he decides to stay with gauri and ask her to go back. ippy comes back and marries anupam.
then the show took a 5yr leap. they have 3 kids. twin boys and a girl. now gauri has become a complete mother and shiv feels like gauri doesn't have time for him now, as her world is their kids. ippy returned from london and she had become a writer and she wrote a book called "Kismat" and it is her story with her potrait on the cover. ippy and shiv meets, she gives him a copy of her book, but later shiv returns it to her sayin tht he is happy with gauri and their kids and he doesn't have any place for his past in his life now. Palak who had gone to Australia be4 the leap also has returned. Nikhila was in london but she returned and gauri saw her talkin to a guy, but nikky says tht she had come home directly from the airport, and shiv is pissed with gauri as she didn;t go to a party, and he was waitin for her there(she didn't go, as on the way she saw nikky with tht guy, and gauri bein gauri decided to follow her, but she lost them)and shiv refused to believe her side of the story. nikhila still wants to get shiv and gauri divorced as she wants shiv to marry ippy(don't know how tht is possible as ippy is married to anupam now).
kaya and vivan loves each other but alok refuse to get kaya married into the kapoor house and after the 5 year leap when he sees how happy gauri is with shiv he decides to get kaya married to vivan. kaya has become a doctor and vivan i think joined the family business.
vivan was drivin, and his car hits a girl, later shivgauri who was passin by sees the girl lyin on the road and they get out of the car(this was the endin of thursday's epi)
there was a new character introduced be4the leap. Ram he stays in the chawl, and currently workin in Kapoor industires and because of him only palak was send to Australia, as he told a plan of Palak's to gauri and Mahen. His significants has not been come out yet. he cud be a pair for Palak or the long lost son of Mahen and Nikhila(which they mentioned only once so far)
they haven't shown anupam and maya after the leap.
