'Boom' would've been received well if released now: Director

Mumbai, Nov 21 (IANS) Filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who has donned the director's hat for "Jackpot" 10 years after his "Boom", believes the industry has changed and says had "Boom" released now, it would have been received well.

"Several people have told me and I genuinely feel that had 'Boom' released now, it would have been received will by the audience," Gustad told IANS.

"It's been 10 years since 'Boom' and the industry has drastically changed and audience has started accepting different kind of cinema. This is the best time for filmmakers," he added.

"Boom" featured an ensemble star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Zeenat Aman and Katrina Kaif. It failed at the box office.

Having introduced Katrina in Bollywood, the filmmaker wants to work with her again.

"She has come a long way. I have not spoken to her for a long time, but let's see what's there in destiny. I would like to work with her again, why not," he asked.

Gustad is now busy promoting "Jackpot", which star Sachiin Joshi and Sunny Leone.

Well, no duh it would have done well. Just like how Jism 2 did well.

Forget this one is an Indian movie... forget this one stars Katty... think as if you are watching a Jet Lee movie (I mean, a Chinese-American movie).. or any European movie... keep aside those vulgar scenes... it was a really intriguing movie.

So Katrina's supposedly worst movie is one of her better ones

Wow I never thought anyone had actually seen the movie. But if it is witty, then maybe I should give it a chance and just forward the Katrina parts. I'm assuming there aren't many of them.

Unfortunately, there are many.

That's the reason I was saying.. take this one as a European (adult) movie.
