Mannu and grandparents

Court granted Ganga divorce and Ganga has Mannu's custody. Ratan Singh is in jail. But Ratan Singh's parents are not in jail. Now my question is, whether Ratan Singh's parents can meet Mannu?
They have done many crimes. They are not good people. But they love Mannu. Nobody can change the fact that Mannu shares genetic link with them. Part of Mannu has come from their side.

I don't want RS's parents to meet Mannu, because they might badly influence him and they might poison Mannu's mind against Ganga and Jagya. Mannu is very happy with Singhs; he is getting all the love there. Don't want the evil couple anywhere near Mannu.

But, are these reasons enough to deny Mannu from meeting his biological grandparents?

Basically my question is, does a child belong only to mother and/or father? Or is the child a free soul where parent is only a custodian and the child belongs to parents, to family and to the society?

Where do you draw the line?

It would depend on whether ganga got a restraining order on ratan singh.
If she sought one, and the court gave her one based on the fact that ratan singh tried to burn down the haveli and murder jagya through goons, then no his biological father and grandparents cannot meet manu.

Basically, all judges base their decisions in these matters in the best interest of the child... not the interpersonal dynamics between the parents.

While Manu is certainly entitled to the love of his grandparents... his grandparents will have to take the initiative of filing a court case seeking visiting rights or split shared custody arrangements.

If they havent done so, then why should ganga actively take the role of re-uniting Manu with his grandparents?

In the event that the grandparents want to see the child, then the judge will see if getting the grandparents involved in the child's life will automatically lead to a back-door entry of ratansingh into the child's life and whether it be deemed as harmful for manu to interact with his father.

If this were just a normal divorce between ganga and ratan on grounds of incompatibility or not getting along - then all children would be subject to joint custody.

But when the grounds are cruelty (he married another woman, he has abused her etc.) and he is also a criminal ... then the court decided in favour of ganga as sole custodian.

You ask "where to draw the line" ...
I think there is no uniform line, it is on a case by case basis.

As I said earlier, an investigation will have to be done, and it will have to be seen as to whether introducing Manu's biological grandparents into his life, also means pre-paving the way for ratan singh into his life.

Also, their intentions will have to be examined -- do they really want manu as a child to love, or is he just a pawn for them in their war against ganga.

Grandparents have also right (at least visiting right) over Mannu, but they have to file a petition in court. Obviously creatives will not show anything logical, so the grandparents - even though they loved Mannu- forgot all about Mannu (or to say creatives forgot all about grandparents).

Grandparents Love for Mannu was based on the tag of Vaaris...had mannu been a GIRL, they would have bothered to see mannu...look at RS's second wife who is bearing a girl child...those same grandparents have no interest in that baby or the wife of RS.

You're right. If Mannu was agirl, they would have thrown him out of the house. However, it is not Mannu's fault that he is a boy.

🤣

Thats true.
We hardly see Dadisa or Prataps' parents thinking of Sugna's children.

This is true, but the court will see best interests of Manu ... even if he is a boy/waaris ... will this arrangement of grandparents being in his life benefit him financially to be heir to their property? If yes, then definitely, this is an argument in favour.

The court will not deprive him just because it feels that if he had been a girl then grandparents would not have been wanting him. i.e. court will not reverse discriminate against Manu on grounds that grandparents did not have interest in Padma's daughter.
