She takes such a big decision of marrying a guy after he emotionally blackmails her...and then she gets this doubt if he was still in love with his wife(all due to his behaviour)...and still she goes ahead to consummate her illegal marriage with him! I believe gauri's mother was a bad influence on her ... instead of explaining the implications of an illegal marriage ... she kept urging gauri to continue in the marriage to not let go of her "haq" entitlements from her child marriage. So gauri kept pressing on. Eventually this relationship became less about building an actual marriage with jagya and more about stealing jagat away from his family and keeping him with her. So naturally, she tried to keep him interested through sex, because she was scared that he would run back to his family if she kept herself aloof. 😆😆

While you may see it as stupid, for gauri, from her vantage point and with her unique goals and agendas consummation was a strategic smart move.
