Much in demand
Despite the fact that Farah Khan's second directorial venture Om Shaanti Om is currently in the making and the film will only be released in the second half of the year, there is chaos to grab the satellite rights of the said film. Evidently, it's Star TV who have won the battle and has acquired the movie for a whopping price.
Its Saif finally
It has been learnt that after approaching each and every leading star in the country, Kunal Kohli has finally zeroed in on Saif Ali Khan for his new film. Incidentally Kunal's first choice was Salman Khan who refused to work with him. Kunal then went to Hrithik who cited date problems to opt out and then finally he went to SRK who was again busy with his own commitments. Now lets see what will happen to Rakyesh Mehra who is sailing in the same boat and yet to find a hero. And to imagine that both these directors delivered huge blockbusters last year in Fanaa and Rang De Basanti.
Back to Ken
We had been informed that Vashu Bhagnani had approached Ken Ghosh to launch his son Jacky Bhagnani but later on Vashu changed his plans and opted for another director. The father went to not one but four different directors and now sources claims that he has gone back to Ken Ghosh. If things fall in place, Ghosh would be directing Bhagnani's son. Watch this space!
Ramayana is on
We had heard that Raj Kumar Santoshi had kept Ramayana on the back burner but the news is now that he is definitely working on the project and will go on the floors once his actor Ajay Devgan, who'll be playing Lord Ram is through with his directorial debut. Both of them are currently working on a film titled Halla Bol after which Santoshi will get into the detailing of his mythology. The film will have Kajol playing Seeta.
In India now
It's a known fact that Warner bros are contemplating to get into Hindi film production and here is the news that they've zeroed on to remaking Pirates of the Carribean in Hindi. Guess what, the production house is hoping to rope in none other than Hrithik Roshan to enact the lead role. The director for the project is yet to be decided. Let's wait-n-watch!
