Earlier we planned to bring DELHI HEIGHTS on March 09 but now it has been decided to move it to March 30", confirms Jimmy Sheirgill who is currently basking in the appreciation he has received for EKLAVYA.
But why the sudden development? "March 09 was turning out to be more and more crowded with every passing week. Moreover, there was some 'grahan' period around that time and no one wanted to take any chance", explains Jimmy.
What are the positives that he sees from the film's release moving ahead? "Many", he says quickly, "First and foremost it will only help the film's promotion to grow since it has started creating decent buzz and is being noticed now; especially due to the 'holi' number 'Ay Gori' that has come at just he right time."
So what else can one expect now that the film has got one more month to consolidate its promotion? "Due to the fresh vibes that the film is exuding, especially youth have started looking forward to the film. Also there has been demand for the number 'Kitni Der Tak' to be aired on music channels so you would see that happening soon. We will be also doing numerous other activities to create further buzz about the film", says Jimmy excitedly.
But doesn't he feel that it may be hara-kiri of sorts to bring the world in the middle of World Cup Cricket? "I don't see that happening", says Jimmy in a calm tone, "The matches start only in the night so that shouldn't adversely effect the film shows. Ultimately it's the product that counts and we all are damn sure that director Anand Kumar has done a very good job there."
