Riteish Deshmukh has perfect comic timing on screen, but few know that the actor enjoys sitting with frontbenchers in theatres and often bawls his heart out while watching sob stories.

Fortunately, the masses were not subjected to a weepy Riteish the last time he 'broke down', as he chose to shed tears while watching a DVD in the privacy of closed doors.

Crowd pleaser

Riteish laughs while narrating the incident, "I bought lots of DVDs while I was shooting for Heyy Babyy! in Australia.

Two films I saw really made me cry: One was Borat; it was so funny that tears were rolling down my cheeks in laughter.

But the film that turned out to be emotionally gut wrenching was Will Smith in Pursuit Of Happyness. People think I am reserved, but I sob, cry and get very emotional while watching films.

I am a typical frontbencher and love getting involved in the drama and melodrama. I prefer watching films in the stall, laughing, crying, whistling and doing all sorts of nonsense with the crowd."

So when was the last time that he broke down and cried while enacting a scene in a film? "The climax of Heyy Babyy, but it's too early to go into the details right now."

What Riteish found particularly moving in Pursuit Of Happyness was that it reflects the struggle of a man to give his child the best of things in life.

"The film is amazing, but you really wish something like that never happens to you in real life. I find it inspiring to watch such great performances."

As for whether he would act in such intense dramas, he says, "Not right now.

I am happy with what I am doing. I think there is a time for everything.

One needs the right maturity for such intense performances, and I don't think I am equipped for that yet."

On a lighter note, Riteish says his shoot in Australia for Heyy Babyy! was great fun. "All of us bonded really well on the sets.

It was a 40-day schedule and all of us had good fun. Vidya (Balan) is quite a prankster!"

Heyy Babyy is a comedy about three friends and a baby, but his upcoming film Cash is an action thriller where Riteish has performed some amazing stunts. "I learnt street luging for my role.

It may look like a cakewalk on screen, but it's tougher than it looks. I was quite scared during the shots, but then while performing you overcome your fear and that's one of the great things about acting.

I don't miss doing street luging in India, because it would be banned if it were to become popular here. Where is the space on the streets?"
