Episode 426 Discussion: 11th Nov 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Note for Newcomers to this thread.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

First of all, a huge round of applause to those brave souls, those CVs. For the risks they are taking with this show. I hope it pays off for them.

I didn't care for the episode today. 🤢 Fast-forwarded almost all of it. But watched enough to gather that:

Clueless Madhu "sacrifices herself" and agrees to the heroine centric role.🤢
RK is indulgent - but then tries to get her to face reality, that no one is going to come to watch Madhu. True that. But since this is MB-land, it will be one of those "famous last words" The film will be a super-hit. 🤢
To which MC (I really cannot stand him) declares that the film is better off without RK, 🤢 and it will make Madhu a superstar.
Dips poisons a vulnerable and insecure RK's ears. 🤢
Evilness and Dips are thrilled; leak news to press, and headlines the following day show that Madhu has taken RK's place. 🤢
RK declares support for Madhu, but Dips correctly point out to Evilness that it is just a facade.

Precap: Dips rubbing it in. Ascending star, descending star etc. BTW - that reminded me of 🤡 and his words to RK.

Sorry, this is not a review really. But the emoticons are my review. Am looking forward to reading others reviews in the hope that there was something positive I missed, and can therefore feel better.

Yes, that's it ! 👏 MB ek ishq ek junoon ek ego ...MB's story runs on RK's ego and Madhu's dumbness..it's a clear writing on the wall...e

we got a power packed episode after i don't know what date😕 or should i say, sensible, something which we can relate to...

Dips using her brains effectively, she can read RK inside out...see the contrast.."Madhu" cannot ! @aan-rish said today tht RK is the weak link of this relationship..IMO it's Madhu..bec. everytime, she fails to understand the impact of her actions...bec. she never understood or tackle her husband's ego..something which was clearly visible today, tht RK is burning frm inside, not bec. he fears that Madhu will take his place, but bec. he's scared of losing his stardom, Madhu failed see through RK..what a pity ! and then we have these tall claims frm her tht she's doing this film only for RK ..yes, this may be her only intention..but when Pabo clearly spelled it out to her , how this development might impact RK, and how this world will perceive her actions, uske dimag mein phir bhi ghanti nahi baji ...😆 n sab kuch hone ke baad she will be asking RK and herself ke maine kya kiya, main toh yeh chahti thi ke RK ki reputation, uski film, everything should be safe ! but why why why can't she observe the side effects of her actions?

enuf of my rant...i'll come to the episode..

the news reporter was better today..she gave us a good recap of what all RK had to go through (bec. of Madhu, acc. to Guruji)

RM scene was amazing...subtle undercurrents of tension, ego, helplessness and Madhu took it so casually , as if taking his place will mean nothing for RK...RK was right in his place , it's a wise business decision..no sane producer or investor will ride their money on a newcomer...I didn't hated MC and Bittuji today as much as I hated Madhu for not understanding RK..even when MC was doing bakwas for RK in the name of joke, I wanted to slap her for not standing up for her husband...Now she didn't feel the need to give a clarification tht she didn't have any aspirations for BW right?

Pabo and Dips were also good..wow ! script is the hero..zero ko hero bana deti hai...without clunks, they were talking sense..dimag wali baatein ! good job !

Dips RK..again, the back and forth of taanas ! Dips gave it back to RK with interest and she knows which strings to pull to brainwash him..

the morning scene, enuf said !

I never thought of RK's downfall or heroine oriented subject or separation or the future, but yes, now I really want RM to separate, like the unwedding way...

We are hurtling towards something, I dont know what. And after a point, I may not care. All I can say is this couple is surrounded by an intricate web of deceit and malevolence. They never ever realise or understand it, and therefore never ever deal with it. Fair enough...another something to accept while watching the serial.

Meenu..one positive I found...RK kissed Madhu thrice...one on the forehead as well. 😳

Madhu's hurt and anger at RK 's words. 😔😭
MC is playing the role of Dipali for Madhu, he will incite her against RK, willy-nilly, it will filter in during bad times and DIps has already started work on RK. 😡

So...the setting is all ready...for heroine? Separation? What are we supposed to root for?

We want our leads to win, because we love both of them ...where is your tight script that will give us some happiness when we watch your serial??

MC is all in one 😆 the role which Padmini played in Sultan track, MC will play here...jaa Madhu jaa, jee le apni zindagi..n Madhu bibi will wake up only when she sees the divorce papers ..AH ! i'm obsessed with the divorce papers...

but why ru all sad and gloomy? after 2 weeks, i'm again exited to watch MB ..it's a see saw b/w us also right?

Uff! kya din aa gaye iss show mein .
The only thing that I loved today was the forehead kiss and the rest of the epi was plain stupid nd boring .

I dont understand why every weeks starting epi are so ..ew !

They are basically repackaging old wine in new bottles. Except that they are choosing a particularly low point in the show to replicate. I get that (like RS once said) this is a story about two people who are in love, and about the conflicts between them etc, but they are basically repeating the 🤡 track. From what I recall, that track had the highest rate of drop in audience satisfaction (TRPs.) Remembering the forum and EDT posts from those days, increase in Madhu bashing basically went along with the TRP drop. And throw in the Evilness and the MC (aka 🤡 version 2) bit, that's a double whammy.

Like several people mentioned, Madhu's look when RK basically said that she didn't have it in her to pull in the audience meant that there will indeed be some kind of professional one-upmanship down the road. MC will be standing by to ensure it.

Three factors aren't worrying me - RK's and/or Madhu's individual ego, and Pabho and Dipali (in fact, any member of RK's or Madhu's assorted relations other than Radha).

RK and Madhu have both always had ego, obduracy, reckless self-destructiveness, and a constant failure to understand each other's weaknesses.
Thinking your loved one is wonderful is awesome. But failing to recognize the feet of clay in both cases ensures that the walk is going to have some major stumbles - no pun intended. For both RK *and* Madhu.

RK understands Madhu, but his own insecurities ensure that he doesn't fully comprehend the depth of Madhu's love for him even when he factually counts on it.
Nor does he understand Madhu's knack for treating all other relations with warmth and yet able to cut off from them to ensure the happiness in her marital relationship.

Madhu knows RK's ego and also his feeling responsible for providing even for people he despises, but on the few times when she has seen him insecure about her in any way, she has considered it an insult to her loyalty and fidelity to him.
That it is rooted in his insecurity and is not a judgement about her, she has never understood except momentarily.

Pabho and Dipali are also not a worry. They may succeed consistently for a while, but Rishbala are unpredictable in everything except sticking to each other when push comes to shove, even despite separation and every other facet of adverse situations and emotions.

When RK wouldn't even admit to himself that he loved Madhu, he took her home by force at the possibility that her emotions might get distracted from him.😕😳
When Madhu was trying to convince RK she hated him and wanted divorce, she created a scene at the possibility that he was getting together with another girl and even moved back into their bedroom to forestall a repeat.😆😳
Whatever their ego and wrecking idiocy, love trumps everything else even despite contrary intentions.😳😃

Madhu's emotional loyalty to RK is visible even in his absence, but how the heck does she not notice that Mehul *repeatedly* badmouths RK as a person, a husband and an actor so much and then always backtracks at the last moment and claims to be joking?🤢
How is she not wary that such a person's suggestions can't be trusted?😕
Especially after the previous time when she thought she could trust someone to help her in the way she wanted, and never considered that the person might have a contrary inclination.

The CVs look set for an encore - RK may be provoked by Dips for and against Madhu, but Dips has a reassuring track-record. She'll be responsible for getting things sorted once matters get to a brink... whensoever that is.
