Recently, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s former actor Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, best known for playing Mrs Roshan Sodhi, made headlines with fresh allegations involving co-star Dilip Joshi, ranging from sexual harassment claims to payment disputes.

Adding to the controversy, Mistry has now spoken about an alleged altercation between Joshi and the show’s producer Asit Modi, despite both having dismissed such reports as “baseless rumours.” Speaking to Filmygyan, she claimed, “Jo Hong Kong me bahut kharab ladai hui thi. Pure public ke beech me jam ke chilla-chilla ke ladai hui thi. Dilip ji ne Asit ji ke collar pakad li thi. Bahut garma-garmi ho gayi thi. Ek time to extreme ho gaya tha. Matlab sab pareshan ho gaye the ke bhai tum producer ho, tum baar-baar kya jaate? To Dilip ji aur Asit ji ki isi cheez par bahas ho gayi thi.”

Actor Dilip Joshi, who plays Jethalal Champaklal Gada, earlier broke his silence after media reports claimed he got into an “ugly fight” with Modi. Issuing a statement, he said these allegations were “completely untrue” and insisted that “people are just jealous of the show’s continued success.”

Quoted by Times Now, Joshi said, “I just want to clear the air about all these rumours going around. There have been some stories in the media about me and Asit Bhai that are completely false, and it really saddens me to see such things being said. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a show that means so much to me and millions of fans, and when people spread baseless rumours, it hurts not only us but also our loyal viewers.”

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been on air for over 17 years and remains one of Indian television’s most-watched sitcoms. However, in recent years, several prominent actors have exited the show, including Disha Vakani, Jheel Mehta, Bhavya Gandhi, Raj Anadkat, Palak Sindhwani, Gurucharan Singh Sodhi, and Neha Mehta. While Mistry’s claims about a public confrontation in Hong Kong remain unverified, they have added another layer to the ongoing controversies surrounding the show. For now, Joshi and Modi maintain there was no such incident.

TL;DR

Jennifer Mistry has alleged a heated public spat between Dilip Joshi and Asit Modi, despite both denying it. She claims the confrontation escalated when “Dilip ji ne Asit ji ka collar pakda.” The alleged clash has stirred fresh buzz among Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans, reviving discussions about off-screen tensions within the popular show’s team.
