I can only say HATS OFF to Jalal for having the talent of pacifying his two tantrum queens - Ruqu and Jodha. He must be thanking the day he married Salima, who is exact opposite of these two. Jalal's future as a father is very bright, can't say the same about his two tantrum queens who need so much of attention. The last scene where Jalal pacifies Ruqu looked like a parent trying to pacify an out of control cranky kid. A kid who does not like the fact that the other sibling, oops other begum got more attention. The sad part is though that this was no kid, it was 'mallika-e-khaas'. I lost all respect for Ruqu today and to some extent even Jalal. The only thing that matters to Ruqu is her audha, title, power and every other superficial thing that exists. The only way she can get all of those things is if she keeps being Jalal's THE special begum. Jalal entertains Ruqu's fantasies of being the only khaas begum and that no one has it in them to take her mallika-e-khaas title. The moment this is announced Ruqu's tantrums vanish and she is ready to even find the best gift she owns for Jodha. Jalal praises her for this, how artificial did that praise sound? Only an artificial superficial person like Ruqu could get carried away by those praises. She buys the simple reasoning Jalal gives her that all this was done because of his ammijaan. As long as Jalal was not involved in the party planning, did not even buy a gift for Jodha - Ruqu feels safe that Jalal still does not care for Jodha.
The reason I lost some respect for Jalal is because he told Ruqu what she wanted to hear, not what he felt would have been right. A stable parent would have told the cranky kid both the siblings are equally important and both have their own place. He was very polished and diplomatic in handling Ruqu. The way he makes her sit, have the sharbat, arrrgh. I am not mad because he did all this to Ruqu and not to Jodha. It was so childlike and artificial. He knows the only way Ruqu would pacify is by these childish acts and he stoops to that level just for her. He tells her that the half truth (lie) party idea was his moms, and before she can ask more questions he makes her drink the juice. I feel he is making her believe also that he has not planned a gift for Jodha, a lie! He knows very well that Jodha matters, he desires her company, is in awe with all her qualities - but convinces Ruqu that she can never take Ruqu's audha! I wonder how long he is going to entertain the child in Ruqu, may be till he is sure about his feelings for Jodha. It would be too late by then Jalal, Ruqu's hurt will be deeper as she will consider all your half truths as pure black lies! I just hope on Monday, Jalal refuses Ruqu's idea of gift. The diplomat that you are, I am sure you can fool her with some lame excuse. I have never felt proud of one thing that Ruqu has done so far, but have seen Jalal praise her some many times. I wonder what other useless begums he has married to, as his most khaas begum is pretty dumb also! The only excuse I can come up for Jalal's way of dealing with Ruqu is that he is used to that way from their childhood. He has known no other way and did not feel the need for new one to be found. You are in for a huge shock Jalal, as this will not work as your feelings for Jodha become more clearer.
I can now understand why the kid in Jalal wants Jodha's attention. Right now he does not get it seedhe tarike so he demands it from Jodha. Be it the shoulder pain, head pain, sing for him, play with him. That gives him peace as he is exhausted maintaining his HIGH maintenance Ruqu begum. So, when Jodha cooks out of free will for him- Jalal is overwhelmed and overjoyed. I almost mistook it for him being in love. But, it was this peace that he felt after never having anyone pamper him this way. He is the one who has jhelofied the naaj naakhre, desperately wants Jodha to do that for him.
The other toddler, oops begum Jalal has been handling is Jodha. She continues to show him attitude, but has smaller tantrums and hence he manages to deal with her more easily. She runs to him with questions and Jalal rightfully says 'janamdin ke din bhi sawaal aur ghussa'. Jodha, don't believe Jalal. He has full drishti on you and is thinking of all ways to visit you, spend time with you. Jodha is one lucky girl for sure. Jalal makes sure that the entire Jodha fan club finds out about her bday and make it as special it was in Amer. She gets dual blessings from Amer and Agra. Rahim's gesture was the cutest so far, hope Jalal beats it by something even more special. I know Jodha, you do not have any hopes from Jalal. If you only asked the forum girls we would tell you that we have NO hopes from you, only from Jalal. I am pretty sure he will give her something like a book, animal/bird/horse, shamsheer or something like that which will touch her. After all he has witnessed what Rahim got in reward for such a sweet gesture. He wants the exact same sweet from you Jodha as his return gift - be ready to kiss Jalal! We all knew that Jalal's ring would sway the scale, it was still good to see that happen! Atleast Jodha did not call it as a chaal or anything.
Precap: It's two geedads chaal (Kamin/adhamuddin), cannot be Ruqu as I have never seen her black and Jalal has pacified her enough. I am not going to comment any further as I still hope the spoiler is false! BTW, Jodha you always looked to ammijaan for approval. Now, you looked at Jalal to get his approval to drink the sherbat. That tells me he has given you the gift that was beyond your imagination and expectation!
My Prediction: If the spoiler comes true I feel this will be a test for Jalal, just like MC was for Jodha. After Jalal clears this test, her feelings for him will be of more respect and may be even love.
