Episode 424 Discussion: 8th Nov 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

RK made me cry once more...twice in a week.Not done. 😭. Today's episode belonged to VD...take a bow and accept applause. 👏

However, this was too much to handle...his bravado, his attempt to do the scene. CV Bhagwan, please make him recover by saturday. I cannot handle RK like this.

Scene 1:

Pabho places her alternative to RK...a wheelchair. Ha ha ha, who would give him champi then?? 😭Who would...never mind. What kind of mother's love is this, a mother who encourages weakness in a child who is vulnerable rather than give him the strenght to move on. All done to throw out his wife?? I really hope Pabho turns out to be a total witch in disguise. Even the most conservative people, do break when they see their child suffer. how can the woman behave in this 'kumata' fashion??? And expecting him to fall short, she sends Dipali to spy on him??? her so called son?
And what does RK's real mother do...stand and cry!!????😡😡
RK throws the wheelchair and states that he will change his name to Rishabh Kundra Madhubala😳, and swears he can never be separated from her. 👏

Scene 2:

At the studio, media surrounds RK. He in turn invites the media to watch him shoot. His ego kicks in before his intelligence. MC changes the scene to accomodate RK. But RK once again, refuses to accede and wants to shoot as per the original shoot.
In a well shot sequence, the tension builds up in Madhu and Bittuji...and in the viewers. Because all of us know he cannot do it. He's putting himself into a spot.
He is not able to complete the shot because it requires him to stand up, and pass a drink to his co -actor...a side actor.

I was tense, and was in tears throughout the last scene. I really need to get less emotionally involved with this serial. Credit goes to the director for a well done, darned effective scene. But in terms of clunk...why, kyun, kaiko??!! Why show this utter humiliation?? Do i even need to list out the clunks, there have been enough discussions on the rubbish being used to reach this stage, medical clunks, financial clunks, character clunks...uff.. the list is endless. I just hope they turn it around very soon. Nothing more to add because the precap was even worse. 🤢. One positive..VD's BRILLIANT portrayal today, the best part of the episode. 👏

I was excited after seeing RK's love for madhu and admiring his confidence.

It just broke my heart. What cvs want to show?? Finally They made RK to fall on somebody's feet. MY GOD

Why??? why do they want to torture him like this😡? I am ready to tolerate all the nonsence so far they showed, but can't tolerate this one.

Last 2, 3 episodes were really good and i enjoyed them, though rk was emotional and crying, that was with his wie. But this is tooo much. Still i am crying. They spoiled my mood and week end. I could not control myself.

I liked so many scenes today, but could not think or write about that after seeing the precap😭😭💔

I have a question...why can't Madhu become a huge star without humiliating RK?? I know all our questions are rhetorical, the makers have some vague story to tell and they will go ahead whether we like the route or not.

Episode was good, RK's impactful dialouges defending Madhu rocked it 😎

And okay I am being a saddist I know 😆 But I love the precap too 😛 I like this blend of shades in RK, He is helpless physically and breakdowns emmotionally ONLY in front of Biwi, His soulmate with whom he can be his real self 😉
But to the world he's a Confident Man. I like that RK still has got the superior touch and doesn't miss a chance to BBB people 😆

BEST thing about this paralytic track is there's loadz of potential RM scenes ☺️ 😆 I wonder what next will Madhu help him at ? Shaving ? ☺️ 🤣

Or whatever else we are promised ( even by the producer himself )
That is all we will get

I am going to stick to my loved, hated, and question format for today's episode

Loved:

1] Rk BBBing pabo, she deserves much more , this was not even a slap on the wrist.

2] Rk's declaration in absolute unequivocal words about his love for his wife. dialogs were supper. ( the only saving grace of this present track are these crumbs of RK dialogs)

3] Now pabo is getting physical with Dipali 😲 cause she cannot win the argument posted by her, reminded me of when my brother and I used to fight, he would try to arm twist when I was going to tet-a-tale on him or verbally quarrel with him. So now we have another 5 year old in the serial.. our very own PABO ( don't they say old age is the second childhood 😆, she is behaving just like that the jealousy, the feeling of righteousness in their action...😕)

4] How RK answered the press, he really knows how to handle them. its unfortunate that the action of his "respected' pabo weighed heavily on him and his ego would not allow him to make concessions.

Hated

1] Pabo... am not even going to say anything about her, Radha can still has the right to be called a mother but definitely not Pabo. I don't know of any mother who discourages her child. I see this as a plan ( both CVs and hers) where in in a situation shot, Madhu is trying to use reverse Physco to get RK to work harder at getting better saying anything to the effect that she is tired and he need to get well soon or some thing, and she will use that as a opportunity to create a drama and say now you have to get away from her, and RK in his stupid ego will agree to madhu separation...🤢)

2] if he wanted to stick to the original script, actually why make him sit down? all that was needed as a script change was keep him standing and then walking with a bit of a limp and give the drink to Kunal.

3] if dipali is from the film industry does she not understand what is at risk for RK? after all what attract her to RK is his Sauv nature and his confidence.. does she not realize that by supporting Pabo in breaking RK's confidence she will loose RK in more ways than one. Plus I have no confidence that she will accept .. oopus correction I have full conference in her character that she will not accept a disabled RK all her lust and so called love not withstanding

Question:

1] was there not any scene in the original script that required either RK to just sit or be with Madhu so could use her support subtly?

2] CV please explain with some hint or tweet or some interview WHY does RK have to fall to make Madhu rise. Its not like a sea-saw and that they are rivals. and if this is just a trough before the crest, why does the low have to a below the 😡😡😡ing belt blow

3]Why is Kuku's and sikki's arrest and sikki's custody escape not a story for the media? do they get selective news only...😲

4] For me its a case of once burnt twice shy ( with the sultan track), or should I say twice burnt ( sultan and the unwedding) , petrified now... I was just wondering how many on the forum have hopes of a speedy recovery of our hero and our CVs creativity. CVs did have a recent recovery from the jaws of death (similar to our hero) by giving us the last 2-3 episode, but are still suffering from some incapacitence (similar to our hero) due to a "mild" ( the world being wide open to interpretation) paralytic attack..

mind you CVs, we the audience can be as brutal and mean as the press/media you show on the show...😡 , here's wishing you both a speedy recovery..😆

Once a superstar, always a superstar. He can't be anything else. Why was that chudail not in that wheel chair when he threw it down the stairs? Not fair.

I felt today CVs used the media in the correct way. Like vultures salivating when they surrounded RK when he arrived at that studio. Eager to peck the wounded lion in any way possible. RK braved the media with his usual panache. It looked like that at the last minute uska ego aade aaya and he galantly invited media to watch him shoot the scene live. However another way to look at it is he took a calculated risk IMO in inviting the media for the shoot to retain the perception of business as usual.

Why did that Kunal character have to sit across from RK? He could have sat on the sofa nearby where RK could have just stretched his left hand and given him the drink. But the purpose of this elaborate ruse is to show RK humiliated in front media, hence dogged insistence from RK to keep the scene as before. Ok even if tomorrow he falls down at that guy's feet, maybe the other guy can show presence of mind and say something spontaneously such as "Karan, lagta hai muze drink dene se pehle tumne khud bohot pi rakhi hai is liye hosh nahi sambhal pa rahe ho". That would be a great save IMO. But RK will not allow it.

IMO even if RK falls at that guys feet tomorrow its not a big deal. Get up, dust yourself and do another retake. Till this movie is over, RK better leave his ego at the studio entrance. Easier said than done.

Precap - Falling down is not a shame but refusing to get up is utter disgrace

The episode began well enough; I loved RK spelling it out clearly for Evilness and Weakling (who, incidentally, was teary eyed yet again - enough already.) But as the scene moved from RK Mansion to Sitara Studios, my level of stress steadily dialed up, until it reached breaking point during the precap.

I hope all the illogical holes do not exist solely to make the point that RK is heading towards rock-bottom (with no guarantee that he will rise like the phoenix etc.) If I could fast forward to a couple weeks ahead to check out where this story is going, and decide whether it's worth my while to watch, I would. My confidence in the CVs ability to gauge the pulse of the audience is at a fairly low point (I don't think it ever recovered from the 🤡 debacle.) I digress...Anyway,

So RK conveys the message loud and clear - no one should even attempt to separate him and Madhu. And no one should consider him crippled - and shoves the wheelchair down the stairs to make his point crystal clear.
BTW, random thought - Weakling does seem to know her son better - she was definitely shaken when she saw the wheelchair. But did she do anything about it? Heck no.
Evilness succeeded in one thing - intentionally or not - subtly shake RK's confidence in himself. He is now desperate to prove to himself and the rest of the world that he is perfectly okay (when he is not)...ETA: I also thought she was very sly with the words about him being a burden on Madhu. Was it to sow the seeds of doubt in his head?
Evilness shows yet another nuance to her character with the twisting of Dip's arm. Really, all these hidden depths. Made me feel like she would have no qualms whatsoever in pushing someone off a cliff.
It is interesting how both Evilness and Dips are steadfast in their resolve and vendetta to separate RM. Dips knows that there is no way RK would turn to her, yet she persists. Evilness knows that it would probably break RK to be separated from Madhu, but she gives a rat's as* about it.
RM are met at the studio by the curious media, salivating at the seemingly unending supply of juicy events supplied by RM. RK, probably still chafing from the morning's events at home, invites them to witness for themselves that he still king of the jungle. Oops.
Studio scene was stressful, with Madhu and Bittuji both concerned and fearful. RK refuses to make any concessions. And is allowed to get his way.

The Precap: Yikes. He falls flat on his face. Get up, RK, get up!!

There were no discussion points today...I am not sure why they need to show RK so majboor. The dude is able to get down the stair case on his own but has difficulty walking a few steps and maintaining his balance. I still unable to understand the extent of his paralysis. It almost feels like the CVs expect us to enjoy and take pleasure in his misery.

MC must be the worst director in history...I understand that RK had to go to studion to maintain a perception but did he really needed to shoot and could the scene not be rewritten better to accommodate him. There is absolutely no teamwork from his end.

Now for my doubt...The producers association would have come out looking bad with AB being arrested for RK's murder attempt. With the evil honchos missing and the industry biggies trying to save face...the next course of action would have been to lift ban and throw industry support and sympathy behind RK. The result would have while in current situation it would not have made any difference to RK, with additional resources...the shooting would have gone better...the money pressure lessened and the industry uniting behind him atleast for appearance sake.
