Lobbying started. The year Don 2 released Zee spent a huge amount to buy it. & I wasn't surprised when SRK-PeeCee hosted their award show & Don 2 swept most of the awards.

Who cares about Zee Cine Awards anyway? 😆

For Don2 the hosting was part of the deal. The producers were unable to sell the rights as apparently Excel films usually get lower TRPs. So they did this deal and got a good price. CE might have a similar deal as they got 40cr above for satellite rights.
