Chapter One, Welcome to Hindustan High

I sorta wrote this on a whim, I am not sure if I'm going to continue. Maybe if enough people comment I will

Welcome to Hindustan High, one of the most oddest high schools you'd ever see. The biggest thing you need to know about this super elite school is it's houses or groups, the Rajputs and the Mughals. A Rajput has never been friends or anything more with a Mughal, and a Mughal has never been friends or anything more with a Rajput. The two groups basically hate each others guts. Each group has separate cafeterias and dorm rooms, but they share classrooms and school events. The houses started as a way to encourage closeness and friendly competition, but it got out of hands and the poor teachers were trying to control it. The populars, or royals, of each groups are quite different. The Mughals have a top dog, Jala (quarterback to the Mughal football team, son of entrepreneur Humayun, but was raised by his nanny (Maham Anga), hot headed, , but overall nice) while the Rajputs have groups of royals, the most popular and beautiful of which is Jodha (Youngest sister to five older brothers, Class topper, belongs to a rich family, sometimes says things without thinking volunteers at the library and soup kitchen). Your put into one of the two groups on your registration day of middle school (Grade 6), and you stay in them for all your school life.

Jodha and Jala use to be friends a long time ago.

*flashback*
"we're going to go around the circle and introduce yourself, ok kids" said the smiling kindergarten teacher. "and you can say what you're dressed up as" the first day of kindergarten had fallen on Halloween, and each child sat on the circular carpet with a different costume.
"do you-"
'i'll start" the teacher was rudely cut off by no other than Adham Khan. "I am Adham and i am a superhero"
"Thank you Adham, but next time you should wait till i am finished speaking"
"whatever" he said while rolling his eyes.
"What was that?" asked Mrs. Polly on the end of her patience.
"Nothing Mrs. Polly" he reply quickly.
"ok" she said before looking around the circle "Do you want to start?" she asked a cute little girl dressed in pink with a tiara on her head.
"Sure" she said excitedly "I am Jodha and i am a Princess"
Mrs. Polly smiled at the girl, she liked her "do you want to go next?" she asked the girl beside her.
"Ok, I am Moti and i am cat"
they went around the circle quickly until it was a boy with blue's turn.
"i am Jala and i am a prince" he murmured while looking down at the colorful carpet beneath him.
"Could you repeat that a little louder?" asked Mrs. Polly with a kind smile.
He nodded before speaking again "I'm Jala and i am a prince"
Mrs. Polly nodded with a smile, how cute, the princess found her prince. "your turn" she said to a girl with a stethoscope around her neck.
"I am Ruqaiya and i am doctor"
the rest of the ice breaker was uneventful.
"Everyone find a partner" said Mrs. Polly as the children came in after lunch, all the kids started scrambled around for a partner.
Jala sat in the corner of the room, his eyes on the ground counting the little stars until a pink little shoe covered the tile he was counting.
"Want to be my partner?" asked a sweet voice.
He looked up and saw a girl dressed in a princess costume, Jodha was her name.
Jala gave her a light smile before nodding.
*End of flahback*

Jala and Jodha Became best friends after that. Once kindergarten ended Jodha moved, years pasted and they forgot about each other. Until grade four, when Jodha moved back

*Flashback*
"Everyone get in a group of two" said the gym teacher after blowing his whistle.
Johda awkwardly stood to the side, it was her first day in this school and she'd hardly talked to anyone.
"Do you wanna be my partner?" asked a boy with black square rimmed glasses over his brown eyes and messy brown hair.
"sure" she said with a smile as she went to the teacher to grab one of the frisbees.
They threw the frisbee back a forth, with the chatter of the students behind them.
"I am Jodha, whats your name?" she asked as she threw the frisbee to the boy.
"Jala" he answered throwing the frisbee back to her.
"Oh, don't I know you" she said before throwing the frisbee harder than she should have.
"May-" Jala's words were cut off the frisbee smashing into his nose, blood started to run down his face.
"Oh my god" jodha gasped "I am so sorry"
Jala lightly nodded his head to her.
"Mr. Polly" screamed jodha I the gym teacher.
Mr. Polly turned to see Jala trying to wipe his blood away while Jodha was repetitively saying sorry.
He ran closer to them "You ok Jala?"
Jala nodded his head in reply.
"Can you take him to the infirmary?" Asked Mr. Polly to jodha.
"Yea" she said before turning to Jala "let's go"
Many minutes had pasted since the accident, but jodha wouldn't cease to say sorry.
"I am so sorry, I really didn't mean to do it. I could have hit your glasses and gotten glass shard in you eye. I could have blinded you"
"It's ok" Jala said while holding the napkin near his nose "I have insurance on the glasses"
Jodha stopped talking for a second and there was quite, they turned to each other and laughed.
*flashback ended*

Their friendship had yet again begun, but little did these two laughing children know what fate had in store for them.

I'd like to dedicate this chapter to Annarichard, for encouraging me to post this.
