Part 3
The next day,I woke up to an utter chaos in the house.
"Virat,Why the hell don't you understand?" I heard Jiju shouting.
The entire family had gathered in Virat's room.
"Bhai,why don't you people understand? Main hi har kisi ko kyun samjhoon har baar?" Virat retaliated.
It was such a relief seeing Virat talk back to someone else but me.
I walked upto his room and could sense that things were not right. I went and stood beside Di. Her eyes were brimmed with tears.
"Di.."I whispered.
"Arrey Mannu,tu..tu yahan..chal room mein ja..Rest kar.." She said smiling amidst her tears.
"Yeh sab kya hai di.." I questioned.
"Sab tumhari hi wajah se toh hai!" Swamini Bua's voice thundered down my heart. I could feel it stabbing me. I was sinking. A tear slipped off my eye.
"Bua please,Aap Manvi ko kuch mat kahiye. She didn't ask God for Cancer,It just happened to her." Virat was charged up. He couldn't bear a word against me.
"Toh kaho iss se ke apne ghar mein ja ke rahe. Why to create a negative atmosphere here at our home?" Bua's words stunned the entire gathering. Since the day she got to know about my disease,she has been very protective of me. But this sudden change..? I was unable to believe my eyes.
"Ji..Bua ji,Aap sahi hain. I must go back. Virat ki yeh haalat sirf meri hi wajah se hai. And if I stay here longer,I will die of Virat's silence before dying of my cancer.." I looked down with tearful eyes and left the room for now I had been disowned.
"Manvi.." Virat followed me.
I packed my stuff and was ready to leave even after the extreme resistance provided to me by Virat. As I reached the hall,I saw Dr.Manan sitting and discussing about Virat.
"Virat ko depression se bahar sirf aur sirf Manvi hi nikaal sakti hai" Dr.Manan stated firmly.
"But,all this is because of Manvi only" Swamini bua fired back.
"We have no choice,Manvi is the only person he talks to and this fact is known to all of us ki zindagi ka dusra naam Manvi hai. Wo dhalte hue Suraj ko bhi ugne par majboor kar sakti hai" Dr. Manan has known me all my life and he does,very well!
"Hello Dr.Manan. Bua ji,Aunty,Dada ji..Main chalti hoon.." I greeted everybody as was about to leave.
"Ruko Manvi. Dr.Manan says that only you can heal Virat. I assign this job to you. You're going to stay here until you bring Virat out of depression." Swamini Bua ordered.
"I looked at Vanshika aunty who assured me with a warm smile and Di who nodded her head in approval.
No one in the home excpet Swamini bua doubted my ability to bring Virat back to life. Forgetting that a disease is eating me up every moment,I set on my mission to bring my partner back to light,life and love from the depths of darkness,loneliness and hatred.
