Actor Anuj Saxena quips, "I don't want to be confined to the wheelchair.
" Well, rest assured. The actor is only referring to his character in the serial Kkusum, where he is relegated to the wheelchair.
Some time back, the actor was persuaded to stay on in the serial after almost calling it quits. "The reason why I'm still in the show is because of Jeetuji and Tarun Katyal. They asked me to stay on promising interesting twists and turns in the plot," confesses the actor. But so far nothing of that sort has happened. "As an actor it is tough for me to just sit there. The only thing I do is blink at times."
As of now, the actor is all geared up for the release of his debut film. And that's the reason why Anuj is not too keen on taking up another television project. So, is he only going to do films from now? "I'm waiting to see the response my film gets. After that, I will decide. But for now, I'm waiting for the twist to happen in the serial." Apparently, the new twist is that the actor will be playing a mentally retarded Abhay Kapoor. "That's what the channel told me. It would be challenging for me to play this part because I have never done anything like that," says Anuj.
But will the audience be able to accept Anuj's change from a suave and sophisticated Abhay Kapoor to a mentally retarded one ? Only time will tell.
